Rumor: 7.85-inch iPad moving closer to production

A new report from DigiTimes surfaced this morning claiming that the oft-rumored 7.85-inch iPad is moving closer to production. The site points to an article from United Evening News, a Taiwanese newspaper, which says Apple has just picked suppliers for the tablet.

DigiTimes doesn't have the best track record in providing accurate Apple information, but we've seen a number of reports over the past few months regarding a mini iPad. And these particular claims appear to have some kind of basis...

Rumor: iPhone 5 to have glass back panel too

The folks over at iLounge seem to be on a roll today. Earlier we told you about the site's report that Apple was working on some kind of "enhanced Smart Cover" for the iPad 3, and now it's claiming to know new details about the next iPhone.

After what happened last year, we're not sure anyone really knows what Apple has planned for its smartphone line. But iLounge is reporting that it has learned some interesting information regarding the iPhone 5 from a "repeatedly reliable source..."

Apple to launch enhanced Smart Covers alongside iPad 3?

Even though Apple's iPad 3 event is just a few days away, we expect to continue to see a steady stream of tablet rumors. A lot of things are being put into motion in preparation for Wednesday, and there's plenty of potential for new information.

The latest report comes from the folks over at iLounge. The site is claiming that it has learned that Apple is working on a new "Smart Cover-influenced" case for its latest tablet, and we could see it unveiled at this week's iPad event..

‘Notificator’ officially released on Cydia

Notificator has finally hit the Cydia store for the price of $0.99. This is a jailbreak tweak that allows you to create custom banner notifications for various system events.

China Mobile is the world's largest wireless carrier, by almost any measurement, with over 650 million mobile subscribers. Its sheer size has made the operator a prime target for Apple partnership rumors, but the two companies have yet to ink out a deal.
