Use Your iPhone to Take a Virtual Peek Inside Apple’s Grand Central Store

Apple has posted a selection of photographs showing off its new Grand Central Station Apple Store on its website. While looking at the photos may be interesting, how does being able to view a 360 degree panorama sound?

But wait, there’s more!

How about viewing that panorama on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and being able to take a virtual tour of the store using the built-in gyroscope? Sounds awesome right? Well, it is…

TNW brought the whole thing to our attention, and they have been good enough to point us to the right location of the 360 degree panorama image, too.

To view the panorama, you’ll need to hit the new store’s page on the Apple website. Next. you’ll need to tap the “show more images” button, and then tap the last image on the bottom-right of the screen. From here you can move your iOS device around and see the store in all its glory.

You’ll need an iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, or 4th-gen iPod touch for this to work, as they are the only devices with built-in gyroscopes. If you don’t own one of those you can still check out the store’s images, just without the gyro fun.

The photos themselves are well worth taking a look at – that Grand Central store is absolutely gorgeous!
