Aside from a video showing the Face ID setup process on an iPhone X, another seemingly Apple-sanctioned clip popped up on YouTube last weekend documenting device unboxing.

Mexican YouTube channel Gotcha yesterday shared an iPhone X unboxing video, shown below.

My Spanish is a little rusty these days, but the poster is probably involved with Apple because the device itself appears to be for an Apple Store kiosk display, as evidenced by the presence of the dedicated Face ID demo app on the Home screen and the looping animation.

Aside from the phone itself, the white box it arrives in includes your Lightning-enabled EarPods, a Lightning to USB cable, a 5W USB wall adapter, a Lightning to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter and some printed material laying out the basics of Face ID and new gestures.

Apple began taking pre-orders for iPhone X last Friday.

The device is scheduled to hit store shelves this coming Friday, November 3.

Fake Iphone, we can clearly see it’s from the demo iphone

    • Ángel Javier Esquivel

A demo iPhone is an iPhone with demo software.

      • Saad Gouzou

it does have a demo software, you can see it loads app automatically and it shows some animation on how to use app and everything.

      • Luizo

It is supposed to be used in retail stores, that’s why it loads the demo

Something doesn’t seem right about that phone it seems like it’s hit and miss when he presses different things. I don’t think it’s fake but I do think there is an issue with the software. I am glad I will be skipping this one initially.

It is designed to be showed in a store. That’s why it has FACE ID app and the apple logo that appeared when he 3D touched the flashlight 🙂

That still doesn’t explain why the software is buggy. You don’t see demos be buggy

This mexican guy dropped the ball on unboxing the demo unit lol

    he mis handled this entirely

This is a big thumbs down for me! Unboxing with the top cover upside down!?! This was a disaster from the gates!
Edit: and it’s iPhone ‘ten’ but he is calling it iPhone ‘x’ (in Spanish of course)

    • Jamessmooth

um maybe he’s in the southern hemisphere? You have to unbox it upside down there for it to be right side up here in the North…

A true unboxing would have been a box that hadn’t been previously opened. This one had and the iPhone was already powered up. SAD!

    Worst. Unboxing. EVER.
