After launching Snapchat-esque Stories two and a half months ago, Instagram today started promoting these auto-dissapearing slideshows within the app’s popular Explore tab.
Instagram’s been surfacing recommended Stories in the Explore tab for a subset of its users since August. Today, Recommended Stories in Explore has officially started rolling out to everyone.
“Starting today, you’ll begin to see Instagram Stories on Explore,” announced the Facebook-owned service in a blog post Tuesday.
“With stories on Explore, it’s easier than ever to discover new stories you’ll want to watch,” added Instagram. If this feature has been enabled for you, the Explore tab should show a new Suggested Stories section highlighting interesting Stories from accounts you could follow, personalized to your interests.

According to the company, more than a hundred million people visit the Explore tab every day to discover photos and videos from people they don’t yet follow.
As per Instagram’s FAQ, the types of photos and videos you see in the Search and Explore tabs are selected automatically for you based on things like the people you follow or the posts you like.
Last week, Instagram released a native app for Windows 10 PCs and tablets.
