tvOS 10 beta 2 now available for developer testing

Apple TV Software Update Beta

In addition to releasing a second beta of iOS 10 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, Apple today issued a second beta of the tvOS 10 operating system powering the fourth-generation Apple TV. tvOS 10 beta 2 (build number “14T5284d”) is available on the fourth-generation Apple TVs that run a prior beta as an over-the-air download in Settings → System → Software Updates → Update Software.

We’ll be updating this article with any changes discovered in macOS Sierra beta 2 as we encounter them.

Apple today released the following OS-related updates for developers:

tvOS 10 availability

The new Apple TV Remote app is currently available to Apple’s registered developers and requires iOS 9.3.2 and tvOS 9.2.1.

The tvOS developer preview is available immediately for Apple Developer Program members at developer.apple.com. The new tvOS 10 will be available this fall as a free software update for the fourth-generation Apple TV.

Siri will be available for Apple TV users in twelve countries. Some features may not be available in all regions or all languages. For more information about the new Apple TV features provided by tvOS 10, visit Apple’s tvOS 10 Preview webpage and read the official press release.
