Pangu 9 jailbreak

Pangu has released an update to its Windows jailbreak tool for iOS 9. Pangu 1.1.0 features fixes to improve the success rate when attempting to jailbreak 64-bit devices, optimizations for the backup process, overall jailbreak speed, and more. If you’ve been experiencing issues getting Pangu for iOS 9 to work successfully on your device, then you should definitely try Pangu 1.1.0.

Pangu 1.1.0 can be downloaded from our download page. If you’re already jailbroken, Pangu urges you to update the untether package via Cydia.

The tool is still Windows only, even though Pangu has stated that it’s working on a Mac version of its jailbreak application. Here is the full change log:

  • Improve the success rate and reliability of jailbreak program for 64bit devices
  • Optimize backup process and improve jailbreak speed, and fix an issue that leads to fail to jailbreak due to low disk space in Windows.
  • Fix a bug that leads to an exit of the jailbreak tool due to abnormal network status.
  • Add the re-jailbreak function (only for some devices that were upgraded via iTunes but were detected as jailbroken)
  • Fix a bug that leads to fail to use the instrument function in Xcode.

  • a2k

Looks like it doesn’t address the system partition issue! 🙁

…IT DOES NOT address the partition issue.

    • Favna

I just hope it addresses the bootloop issue under the hood… Like, I know saurik is working round the clock on it and all that but ugh this is getting annoying.

      • 5723alex .

        No, it does not.

    • I manually stashed the system apps and some other folders from the system partition to the user partition, it seems to work so far without any problems. Would much rather it be properly done during the jailbreak process though.

    • tiltdown

it’s so annoying when you rebooted your phone. Storage Almost full popup.

    • The latest Cydia update should fix the partition stash now.

  • Etomiht

Something to do if already jailbreak ? No News yet on cydia ..

  • Zayra Hernandez

there’s no update for it on cydia yet. the package is still on 1.0. guess im gonna have to restore and jailbreak again. while on any app there’s a bug that opens up the camera and it never did it before and i want to get rid of it if i can

  • dave

    No updates in Cydia.. yet?

    • Etomiht

Yes update available on cydia now !

      • dave

Cool, thanks. It’d be nice if it’d increase the damn partition size already..

    • f96lrs

      It was on mine

  • Steve Brea

Just what I was waiting for, more stable jailbreak. Upgrading from 8.4 now 🙂

  • Anmol Malhotra

is it worth jailbreaking now? I dont think so.

    • White Michael Jackson

      I think so

      • Anmol Malhotra

why? That’s what I am asking.

      • Susie

Besides the obvious tweaks and themes if you don’t do it now 9.1 will be out soon and you won’t be able to.

      • Niclas

        It’s stabile.

    • David Ruiz

wait for a more stable version, this one is horrible

  • Susie

Am I the only one not complaining? We have a jailbreak… I wish it was Taig but I’ll take what I can get. Installing Cydia went without a hitch…. yes I had to wait for some tweaks to work but not long. With the exception of Lock+ and Cydget not working yet (using Aeuria LS at the moment) my 6s plus is now almost exactly the same setup as my 6 plus and I couldn’t be happier. No system partition problems for me on my 64gb… will never understand anyone buying a 16gb.

    • Eliijah Moss

Because some people don’t have the need for 64gbs of space, and it’s $100 more? You have to think about the people who are purchasing these phones. Teens, people on budget, etc. “But their priorities shouldn’t be on buying a $1000 phone!” Tell homeless people that, and see what type of response you get.

Then they are better off not worrying about jailbreak if they aren’t savvy enough to know that $100 extra is well worth the 64GB for daily usage.
Homeless people!? They’re homeless for a reason. Get real if you’re gonna talk about iPhones and homeless in the same topic.

      • Eliijah Moss

I’m not going to explain my self and what point I was trying to make. And I’m as real as you are, just younger.

    • Taig -> Pangu -> 90% of the same team 😉

      • Susie

I agree… I just seem to run into more problems with Pangu than Taig. I didn’t have any problems with Pangu on this iPhone though… my iPad however was a different story. All fixed now though and like I said… I’m grateful to just have the jailbreak.

    • I’m on 16GB, and right now I have 5.3GB free with over 40 apps installed and 2 albums. 16GB suits me perfectly fine!

  • Vinnie

I’m not sure I want to upgrade from 8.4 as the creator for Forecast and Lockinfo has decided he’s done with iOS and will not be updating for iOS9 +

Are you sure about that? Forecast is one of my fav tweaks of all time.

      • Vinnie

Yes, I’m sure. I don’t think I can link directly to his blog but google: Ramblings of an iPhone developer

  • guitahero

yep, now i am on bootlop with ipad air 2 (updated through cydia)

    • Todd Tate

Yup same here. Restoring my device with the new jailbreak tool 1.1.0 and it keeps failing. Can we get the old days of jailbreaking back? When it just worked.

    • Me too, now iOS 9.1 is out too. That’s the 3rd time I got on a bootloop this week. I had my phone all set up nicely. I have to do the whole process again

  • Joel

iOS 9.1 is out! Upgrade to 9.0.2 NOW!

  • 5723alex .

Just as iOS 9.1 is out 🙂

  • Chris Coleman

I’ve jailbroken and restored my iPhone 6 twice this week, think ill be leaving it from now on as an app i use daily has jailbreak detection with no way around it sadly

  • Vince Reedy

I was going to do a fresh restore on 9.0.2, now I need to download it elsewhere.

  • Ahmad Faroby Marzuki

    Ios 9.1 release!

  • Jamie Tilden

It’s pretty misleading to have the the thumbnail for this post show Pangu on a Mac.

  • Tried on both my iPhone 6 and iPad Mini 3. Both working fine! Cydia is updated and up to now everything is doing just normal as a JB should do.

  • Zaw Win Htun

I cant jailbreak my phone it says download updates my pangu version is already this one 1 1 0

  • Zaw Win Htun

How do i jailbreak it ? it keeps saying download update whenever i open pangu, its already updated to 1.1.0

  • Rogers

I still get stuck at the backing up part of the jailbreak and can’t find any help to fix the issue.

  • Christopher

How about Pangu gets their asses in gear and give us mac users a jailbreak without having to use a stupid virtual box

  • Zaw Win Htun

is anyone stuck in download updates even on latest version ?

    • AirMaria RadioNetwork

      Yes. iPad 2, 9.0.2, Pangu 1.1.0

  • Adan

But it doesn’t fix the BOOT LOOP OF DEATH, does it???

  • David Ruiz

First time since iOS 1 that jailbreak give me so much problems like this one. I think I’m giving up until we get a waaay stable one. Been in a boot loop 5 times in a week!

Thanks Pangu for the effort, but this is the worst jailbreak ever.

    • Adan

      Agreed, terrible.

  • Siddharth Desai

Restored as new and tried to jailbreak 4 times. First two times, tool quit at 90%. Third time, it went through 100% but Cydia wouldn’t launch. Fourth time, got stuck on first reboot and phone never booted up.

  • Zencowboy007

Worked again on new iphone6s + But took 3 tries.

  • Zencowboy007

Question: How to Remove the Software 9.1 that I didn’t know downloaded as I was restoring new phone. Badge stays there on the settings app and is annoying. I saw one tweak for ios7.

  • Jemie Torres

Can’t jailbreak. iPhone 5s 32GB iOS 9.0.2. =(( when the device reboots, the process stops and asks for me to connect the device again and the process will just repeat. 🙁

  • Brian Melendez

mine said error help meee I did all the steps correct

  • Jeff H.

Cydia is showing an update for the 8.4 untether on 9.0.2. What? Certainly not installing it until I hear from some ‘official’ source.

  • samay s

why does it ask for access to camera roll? am i the only one a bit concerned about it?

  • Onaje RnbCelebrity

iPhone was stuck on boot loop so I had to restore. Tried to do the jb it gets to 30% , starts to back up( which takes a good 12mins to finish) phones starts to reboot and I get an error message and it says my phone needs to be connected.
