Facebook announced a new update for its mobile clients today, bringing the iOS app to version 16.1. The update brings about a new workflow that will make it easier for users to post multiple photos to the popular social network from their smartphones and tablets.

Using the Facebook app, you can now choose the exact order of photos when uploading them via iPhone or Android. Once you’ve selected the images, you’ll see a preview of how the “story” (interesting that Facebook calls it that) will appear after its been posted.

From here, you will be able to write an introduction for your story, and add captions to individual photos. You can also change the order of your photos with a press and drag gesture. Once shared, your friends will see your “story” in a new chronological, collage format.

It’s an interesting move by Facebook, and one that could be a big hit with users who like to share multiple photos with their friends and family. At the time of this writing, the update was not showing up in the App Store, but Facebook says it will be available today.

“At the time of this writing, the update was not showing up in the App Store, but Facebook says it will be available today.”

    Two questions:

    1) If the app was not showing up at the time of the writing, how did you knew about it?

    2) News from October, 27. Today is 28. Still nothing (at least on Portuguese AppStore). Weired, isn’t it?

    Still nothing here
