It looks like the highly anticipated Family Guy project from Fox and TinyCo is set to be released next week. At a launch event in Los Angeles last night, the two firms announced that ‘Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff’ will be landing on iOS on April 10.

First revealed in December of last year, the game will be set in the infamous town of Quahog and feature elements of resource management, with multiple story lines. It looks similar to Fox’s other hit TV series-turned-game: The Simpsons Tapped Out

Here’s more on the game from MacRumors:

At a launch event in Los Angeles tonight, Fox and development house TinyCo officially revealed that its upcoming title Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is set to launch a week from now. First revealed last month, the game is centered around the town of Quahog, with gamers helping Peter Griffin and the rest of the town’s residents rebuild their city after a destructive fight between Peter and Ernie The Giant Chicken.

And here’s another screenshot of the game:

The good news is, TinyCo is working closely with the creators of the show to ensure an authentic experience. The game will feature all the voice actors from the series, as well as new animations and new jokes from Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door Productions.

Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff will launch a week from today, on April 10, and will be available for both the iPhone and iPad. We’re expecting it to be a free-to-play title, so don’t be surprised if the game is littered with seasonal content and in-app purchases.

        don’t be so rude man

      • Viktor_Zweig

I wasn’t. I merely pointed out that readers of this blog do not care about personal stuff from other readers. Was I wrong?

      • ChildishGambinoGotThatSwagger

        At least you’re honest.

    • nonchalont

Awesome! Enjoy your birthday bro. Especially the new family guy game 🙂

Since when was ‘authentic’ equal to in-app-purchases?

If they want a legitimate game how about they look at the worlds best-selling games. Hint; none of them have in-app-purchases…

  • Dan

So they are adding a Family Guy skin to the Simpsons Tapped out. No thanks. This game will be infested with IAP’s.

    • Matt Collin

No They are not doing that because it is different game developer because EA is one who developinf the simpson game

      • Butch Danes

It doesn’t matter if it’s being made by a different developer. The game is just like The Simpsons Tapped Out.

“so don’t be surprised if the game is littered with seasonal content and in-app purchases”

Just like The Simpsons Tapped Out. When the game becomes available, if users have to build the town and unlock characters and quests, it’s an exact copy of The Simpsons.

      • Matt Collin

Yes it does matter because The Simpson Tapped Out is made by EA who push IAP down user’s thoart every time when user play that game so that why i say it was different developer who will use different way to get IAP so you never know what they are doing with family guy games

      • Butch Danes

Dude, you’re confusing yourself. Dan (original commenter) said the game will have a ton of IAP’s. You replied saying it won’t have IAP’s because it’s being made by a different developer. Now you’re telling me the developers of the game will use different ways to get IAP’s. You started out saying no and now you’re agreeing with us.

I don’t know what kind of Simpsons Tapped Out you have been playing, but EA was never pushing users to pay for IAP’s in the game like you claim. Right from the start, they made it clear that if you wanted to speed the game up and unlock new things faster, you can pay for that otherwise you don’t have to. EA has never forced us to buy anything and you can play the game for hours without having to close alerts for buying new things. Don’t confuse yourself any further as the Family Guy game will be very similar, if not exactly the same in terms of how IAP’s are handled.

      • Matt Collin

No I am not confusing myself but you have confusing yourself because i reply to Dan that he claim that this game will be “infested” with IAP so i respond to him that developer will use different tactics to implement IAP so that game will not be infested from IAP and i have never say that this game will not have IAP at all.

“You started out saying no and now you’re agreeing with us” that where you are wrong because i haven’t say that this game will not have IAP.

I have play Tapped Out and yes, they point out that at beginning if i want make game go faster and get thing i want from IAP but i have progress further in game so i notice that game start to become more restrictive and much slower so i have to use IAP to speed up.

Oh no don’t worry because i am not one who are confused myself because i am looking at you who confusing yourself

      • Butch Danes

English is not your first language, is it? Also, do you know what proper sentence structure is? Because your replies are complete run on sentences and make no sense at all. How can anyone take what you say serious when you can’t even form proper sentences or at least use punctuation properly. Go back to school and learn how to form sentences and how to use proper punctuation. Also, just for your reference. You said the “developer will use different tactics to implement IAP” meaning the game can possibly be just like The Simpsons Tapped Out except the method of getting users to pay for things might be different so yeah. In the end, it’s going to be the same. If you don’t see or understand that then I feel sorry for you. Don’t bother replying back unless you fix your bullshit way of forming an argument online because I’m done.

      • Matt Collin

Yes, English is not my first lanuages so who you think you are to criticise me for not speak English properly but guess what? i don’t have to go back to school because i don’t see probelm with my English and even my school don’t have problem with my English as well. Aw did i ask you to feel sorry for me? then don’t!
Well guess what?! this is internet you can’t tell me what to do and don’t!
You are done?! thank f*cking God for that!

  • Kilroy672

I wonder how much this will cost? Since no price was given. Anyone wanna take a guess?

    • Butch Danes

It will most likely follow The Simpsons Tapped Out and be free with options for players to buy things within the game to speed it up faster. It would be really stupid to charge users for the game then have further IAP’s throughout the game.

  • Speg77

Is it finally time to delete Simpsons Tapped Out? Dunno if I can bring myself to do it after all this time.
