Resized ScreenshotShareSheet 02

ScreenshotShareSheet is a brand new jailbreak tweak that allows you to share screenshots using iOS’ standard sharing sheet. The tweak also features “Open in” support for opening screenshots within 3rd party applications.

If you’re someone like me who takes tons of screenshots on a daily basis, then ScreenshotShareSheet might be a good tweak for you. Have a look at our full video walkthrough inside for all of the details.

After installing ScreenshotShareSheet, you’ll find a preference panel pertaining to the tweak in the stock Settings app. Inside the tweak’s preferences, you’ll find a kill-switch, toggle to enable Open in support, and a toggle to prevent screenshots from being saved to Photo Stream.

Once enabled, simply take a screenshot using the Home button + sleep button combination, and you’ll notice the sharing sheet appear from the bottom of the screen. You can then use this sheet to add the just taken screenshot in a new Message, Email, Tweet, Flickr upload, etc. If you have Open in support enabled, you can also open screenshots within DropBox, Photoshop, and any other app that features hooks for Open in.

The main downside that I could find regarding the tweak is that AirDrop is not supported at the moment. Here’s hoping that an update will be released to support AirDrop screenshot sharing in the future.

If you’d like to take ScreenshotShareSheet for a test drive, you can find it on Cydia’s BigBoss repo for $0.99. You should also think about checking out ClipShot, which is another jailbreak tweak that allows you to manage screenshots more efficiently.

What do you think about ScreenshotShareSheet?

Pretty cool but I don’t really wanna pay .99 for it.

Another paid tweak for ios 7 ! . What is it with ios 7 and just about evey tweak good or bad is paid for. The Devs whilst this is a nice way to earn a little cash need to get real with what is worth paying for.
Not say that this tweak should be free.

    • Wood1030

why shouldn’t Devs get paid for their efforts? I mean, do you work for free? I know I don’t. I bet most of the tweaks and apps that are available are pirated anyway and really, is .99 cents really that much to ask for?
I hear people complaining about paying for apps all the time but don’t hesitate to pay top dollar for their phones to begin with.
      Where’s the login in that?

      • Burge

Who said anything about the cost. If you go back 2/3 or even 4 years most of the tweaks were free.
And how many tweaks do you have to buy before it’s too much ?
Oh and just so you know I pay for all the tweaks I use. I try with a hacked one and if I like it I pay for it and if don’t it’s deleted.. Oh and if I come across a problem I tell the Dev even if I was using a hacked copy to test with . I’ve just done this with “weetrackdata”
The Dev then made it open for purchase on the i5s.
My point was even with tweaks that are not worth paying for they seem to have a price.. The cost of the device has nothing todo with by the way..

      • Wood1030

I understand you what your saying and i wasn’t implying that YOU steal apps. I just feel that maybe we’ve been a bit spoiled just for the reason you stated..there were so many free tweaks in the past (and still are) and it is difficult to know which apps are really worth paying for and which ones aren’t. But my point is, I think that anyone that is willing to put time and effort into their work should be compensated for it.
Maybe there should be a different way to achieve this by making available a trail period for their apps (some devs used to do that), it might deter some pirating (a bit) and at the same time give folks a chance to try the tweak for a limited time with nothing lost financially.

        Peace

      • therealjjohnson

Some of the stuff ain’t worth .99. That’s why some complain and ultimately don’t buy. It’s pretty simple…

  • Roger Riekki

Jeff, I just want to say you’ve been on a roll lately covering the good tweaks and the bad. Keep it up!

  • Wood1030

    in a related note:
is there an app available that has the same function (sharing) for the “RecordMyScreen” app, that allows you to easily share your screen recordings in apps like Messages, Whatsap or other similar social apps?

  • Sleetui

Totally unrelated but my iphone installed pdanet and now its resprung into iOS 6 activation screen, i can access my home screen by opening sbsettings and “more” but i can’t access anything like cydia to unistall it, my phone app works though

    Any help plz?

    • Wood1030

Have you tried to restart your phone into “safe mode”?
If you can get to safe mode you should be able to open Cydia to uninstall the bad app that caused the crash.

      • Sleetui

Yup i tried safe mode and respring and reboot.

      • Wood1030

Sounds like you may need to reinstall eva5ion w/ iOS 7 again 🙁

      • Sleetui

That’s the problem, i wanna keep ios 6.1.2 and not have to upgrade…

    • Svs

Try connecting your iphone to your computer and run ifunbox then go to library/mobileSubstrate/dynamiclibraries and delete the tweak that caused the problem (the .dylib and .plist file)

But i don’t understand at what position is your iphone is it stuck on the activation screen or homescreen or what…. could post a screenshot?

      • Sleetui

Here’s the first shot… (Safe Mode)

      • Sleetui

        Second shot… (Safe Mode)

How do I bring back the weather info in NC? It dissapeard after I jailbroken my iPhone. (I know this Question ass been asked around here but I can’t find where)
    Thanks

Prefer clipshot. Open in other programs is nice but I’d rather just copy to clipboard instead of saving screenshots for quick sharing.

  • What I’d really like would be a merge of ClipShot and ScreenshotShareSheet. I usually want to tweet my screenshots but I don’t always want to save them to camera roll. Copying the screenshot to clipboard (what ClipShot does) doesn’t let me tweet it, and ScreenshotShareSheet doesn’t disable saving to camera roll. ಥ_ಥ

Know what’s a sweet combination? iWhiteboard (annotate/doodle on the screen before taking a screenshot) + ScreenshotPlus (crops the screen before taking a screenshot) + merge of ClipShot and ScreenshotShareSheet. 😀 With that I wouldn’t need Skitch on my phone anymore, and no more switching between apps at all (at least for the tweeting option for me).

  • Aimon

jeff I got give this one a try. A really clean tweak that reserves the iOS 7 look.
