ScreenshotShareSheet: share screenshots with “open in” support

Resized ScreenshotShareSheet 02

ScreenshotShareSheet is a brand new jailbreak tweak that allows you to share screenshots using iOS’ standard sharing sheet. The tweak also features “Open in” support for opening screenshots within 3rd party applications.

If you’re someone like me who takes tons of screenshots on a daily basis, then ScreenshotShareSheet might be a good tweak for you. Have a look at our full video walkthrough inside for all of the details.

After installing ScreenshotShareSheet, you’ll find a preference panel pertaining to the tweak in the stock Settings app. Inside the tweak’s preferences, you’ll find a kill-switch, toggle to enable Open in support, and a toggle to prevent screenshots from being saved to Photo Stream.

Once enabled, simply take a screenshot using the Home button + sleep button combination, and you’ll notice the sharing sheet appear from the bottom of the screen. You can then use this sheet to add the just taken screenshot in a new Message, Email, Tweet, Flickr upload, etc. If you have Open in support enabled, you can also open screenshots within DropBox, Photoshop, and any other app that features hooks for Open in.

The main downside that I could find regarding the tweak is that AirDrop is not supported at the moment. Here’s hoping that an update will be released to support AirDrop screenshot sharing in the future.

If you’d like to take ScreenshotShareSheet for a test drive, you can find it on Cydia’s BigBoss repo for $0.99. You should also think about checking out ClipShot, which is another jailbreak tweak that allows you to manage screenshots more efficiently.
