Controlling a Drone From 3,000 Miles Away? There’s an App for That

Controlling a drone from miles away is nothing new, but it’s an expensive and it usually requires a lot of special equipment and technology. Working closely with the MIT, Boeing intends to change that.

As you can see, the drone in this video appears to be nothing more than a Parrot AR, but that’s not what’s interesting here. I guess the most amazing part is that you can fly something that is thousands of miles away from your iPhone.

This technology is of course in its infancy, but it tells a lot about where this is all heading.
