Star Wars wallpapers for iPhone

The Force Awakens trailer releases are causing a great disturbance in the Force. If you are particularly interested in seeing additional sneak preview details, any Star Wars fan would tell you to view the Disney release Japanese trailer that contains footage not released to English speaking audiences.

With the movie just more than one month away, the Wallpapers of the Week section is hoping to help celebrate the excitement. Inside this week's installment are a few images from and inspired by The Force Awakens. Of course, we must also pay homage to the original trilogy.

WLPPR: use beautiful satellite images as wallpapers

Some of the most popular types of wallpapers for iOS are space-themed. Thanks to Apple's love of the galaxy, we've come to really enjoy the beauty of intergalactic images on our Home screen.

WLPPR is a wallpaper app that collects satellite images not only of space, but also from space. It provides weekly updated images that you can capture and set as your wallpaper.

Wallpapers of the week: Hey Siri and Apple TV

This past week, Apple launched the new generation Apple TV. Pre-orders began to arrive Friday, October 30 and a plentiful supply of stock was available in Apple Stores. Two new features for the device include Siri enhanced search and navigation, along with new time lapse motion screen savers.

Wallpapers inspired by the new Apple Watch TV ads

One of the more popular wallpaper categories, are those images inspired by actual Apple events, banners, website designs, and advertisements. Last week, Apple released seven new Apple Watch TV ads, promoting their popular wearable device. The ads appear to harken back to the original iPod advertising days, with great color schemes and simplistic messages.

Inside, find wallpaper inspired by 12 of the Apple Watch October campaign TV spots, by crowd favorite, Jason Zigrino. An image is ready for each of your devices.

The expansive Apple Watch wallpaper collection

With the launch of WatchOS 2, Apple Watch owners can now more effectively control the look of their watch faces. By adding the ability to change photo based faces, Apple provided unlimited options to make Apple Watch fit your preferences.

Using a photo album, Apple Watch users are able to cycle through photos at each wrist raise, or have the photo remain constant. Last week, we released a set of Apple Watch wallpapers based on all previous iOS stock wallpaper images. Back by popular request, today, another giant collection is ready for download.

Apple Faces: a website for Apple Watch wallpapers

There are dozens, if not hundreds, of websites and apps dedicated to providing a variety of background wallpaper designs for the iPhone and iPad. Now that watchOS 2 allows us to use our own images as custom watch faces, the Apple Watch wallpaper market is sure to take off.

We found a Tumblr blog that already has nearly four-dozen specially designed wallpapers that you can use to make your Apple Watch as stylish as you want.

iOS 9.1 beta 3 adds three new wallpaper updates

There might not be a lot of new contained in today's iOS 9.1 beta 3 release, but it does come bundled with three new static planetary wallpapers. Actually, the wallpapers are only new in the sense that they've been revamped, as they're still photos of the same three planets, just presented in a way that's much more appealing and not so dark.

Even if you're not currently running the latest iOS 9 beta, you can still enjoy these new wallpapers on your current iOS install via the download link inside this post.

Wallpapers of the week: urban sprawl

Another edition of the Wallpapers of the Week section comes to you this Sunday with city life. With tall illuminated buildings and articulately complex infrastructure, the city makes an intriguing image for your favorite devices.

Inside, take a look at four new wallpapers and enjoy the different images captured of the city. Depending on the camera's point of view, the beauty of the city changes every time.

With the iPhone 6s releasing on Friday, everyone is getting excited about the new features offered by the updated hardware. Naturally, one of the features I am most excited about is the option for dynamic wallpapers. The live wallpapers are a combination of iOS 9 and iPhone 6s hardware operability. If you downloaded iOS 9 this week, you will notice the motion wallpapers are missing from the list, due to their iPhone 6s exclusivity.

Inside, we have still images of the live wallpapers for iPhone 6s. The images are quite stunning, even if they are not in motion. Step inside for the option to download six iPhone 6s dynamic wallpaper still images for your current device!

Several of the images include strong hints of pink, which should pair nicely with your Rose Gold iPhone or Apple Watch. If you ordered a Rose Gold version, start looking out for new wallpapers that will show off your new iPhone.
