Here’s our best look yet at subdued iPhone 7 antenna lines

French blog NowhereElse.fr on Monday posted a claimed image of an iPhone 7 backplate which offers the clearest look yet at the subdued antenna lines along with a larger single-lens camera on its back. The alleged photo claims to represent Apple's 4.7-inch iPhone 7 model and is in line with earlier leaks showing antenna lines running around the top and bottom edges of the handset and a single camera on the back with a larger opening versus that on the iPhone 6s.

CAD renderings “confirm” many rumored iPhone 7 features

I generally avoid using the verb “confirm” together with “rumor” and its synonyms in the same sentence, but in this particular instance it's probably the right thing to do. Last night, claimed iPhone 7 technical drawings began circulating around the web, seemingly confirming many of the previously published rumors regarding Apple's upcoming smartphone refresh.

Re-posted by French blog NowhereElse.fr and originally published on Chinese social media, these CAD renderings show a notably subdued antenna lines, no headphone jack, a pair of speaker grilles for stereo sound at the bottom, dual-cameras on the back of the 5.5-inch model and an enlarged single-camera hole on the 4.7-inch model, among other interesting features.

WSJ: iPhone 7 storage options will start at 32GB

The storage options for the iPhone 7 will feature a higher starting point, reports The Wall Street Journal. Citing a person familiar with Apple's plans, the outlet says that instead of 16GB, the entry level model will come with 32GB of storage.

This isn't the first time we've heard this is going to happen with this year's iPhone, but coming from a source like The Journal certainly adds more weight to the theory. If true, this will solve a pain point that has been plaguing users for years.

Prolific designer Martin Hajek was back again on Thursday with a new set of mockup photos for the iPhone 7 in the rumored Space Black colorway. As usual, Hajek’s renderings are gorgeous and the details of the handset match up closely with recent reports.

Following up on its own claim that Apple is looking to add a deep blue color variant to this year's iPhone, Japanese publication Mac Otakara said earlier this week that the hue is going to be closer to a "Dark Space Black," similar to that used for the Apple Watch.

iPhone 7 ‘A10’ chip orders to help grow TSMC’s quarterly revenue by 20 percent

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, the world's top semiconductor foundry which Apple has commissioned to build 'A10' processors for the next iPhone alongside Samsung, is expected to grow its revenue substantially in the third quarter of this year thanks to these orders.

Taiwan's Central News Agency, quoted by trade publication DigiTimes, said this morning that TSMC is reportedly forecast to grow revenues almost twenty percent sequentially in its third quarter “as shipments for Apple's A10 processors will kick off soon”.

Apple supplier Cirrus Logic releases MFi Lightning headphone development kit

Apple supplier Cirrus Logic, which provides audio chips for iPhones, iPads and iPod touches, today released a software development kit for third-party vendors who wish to build Lightning-based headphones under the 'Made for iOS' (MFi) program.

iOS already supports headphones based on the proprietary Lightning connector, some of which are sold by Apple itself. As you know, the next iPhone is widely expected to drop the standard 3.5mm jack in favor of Bluetooth and Lightning headphones.

A sketchy photograph just surfaced on the Chinese microblogging service Weibo, appearing to show off a Lightning-based version of Apple's standard EarPods headphones. As you know, Apple is widely expected to ditch the 3.5mm analog audio jack on the next iPhone in favor of wireless headphones via Bluetooth and all-digital wired headphones based on Apple's proprietary Lightning connector.

Concept imagines iPhone 7 in Space Black with Force Touch Home button

You've probably read stories by DigiTimes and 9to5Mac, which were seemingly corroborated by today's analyst report and an earlier blurry photo, that the iPhone 7 would supposedly have a Home button that would sit flush with the face of the phone.

A UK-based conceptual artist took those rumors as a base for imagining a possible design for the next iPhone's Home button. He also envisioned a rumored Space Black finish for the device that should resemble the Space Black Apple Watch.

Analysts corroborate claim of alleged iPhone 7 Force Touch Home button

Cowen and Company analysts have corroborated an unconfirmed story which two days ago reiterated prior reports that the next iPhone would sport a Home button with haptic feedback to simulate a click, using the same approach as Force Touch on the Apple Watch.

Citing “field checks” to back up its research and projections, the analysts were quoted by Business Insider as saying that this new Home button will sit flush with the rest of the iPhone 7. They also expect the device will lack a headphone jack and will be waterproof, as previous rumors have suggested.

Remember the iPhone 5's Darth Vader-like black appearance? It's still my favorite iPhone colorway even though Apple has since moved to a more subdued Space Gray finish for subsequent models. Mac Otakara, the Japanese publication which claimed the iPhone 7 would come in a new Deep Blue variant, has now backtracked on the report, saying the device would include a Space Black colorway akin to the Apple Watch.

Purported iPhone 7 pricing leaks: 256GB version across all models, ‘iPhone 7 Pro’ mentioned

Citing a post on Chinese social network Weibo, PocketNow reported this morning that the flagship 256-gigabyte version of the iPhone 7 Plus could price-match the top-of-the-line 128-gigabyte iPhone 6s Plus model. According to the leaked pricing, the next iPhone lineup would include 32/64/256GB models for the 4.7-inch iPhone 7.

Its bigger brother, the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus, somewhat strangely gets listed with 32/128/256GB storage choices. The Chinese price list also mentions a brand new model for the upcoming iPhone refresh, referred to as 'iPhone 7 Pro'.

Rumor: iPhone 7 to feature relocated ambient light sensor, larger earpiece

While the iPhone 7 isn't expected to feature any major changes, Mac Otakara reports that there will be some notable differences on the front of the handset. Citing supply chain sources, the outlet says the device will feature an updated proximity sensor, a relocated ambient light sensor and larger earpiece.
