LetMeKnow, NoLargeTitles, and other jailbreak tweaks to check out this weekend

Now that Electra has been publicly available for a couple of weeks, we’re starting to see some iOS 11-oriented jailbreak tweaks surface in Cydia alongside those made for iOS 10 jailbreaks like G0blin and Yalu.

In this roundup, we'll discuss all the new jailbreak tweaks released throughout the last week. As usual, we’ll kick things off by showcasing our favorites and then outline the rest afterward.

This tweak removes the system-wide bold titles in iOS 11

When Apple released iOS 11 last year, one of the first things I noticed and didn’t particularly adore were those unnecessarily-large titles that show up at the tops of various stock apps.

Assuming your iOS 11 device has been jailbroken with Electra, you can now install a new free jailbreak tweak called NoLargeTitles by iOS developer CoolStar to do away with these unsightly titles and revert to how things looked in iOS 10 and earlier.

This tweak prevents Spotlight from remembering recent search queries

If you use Spotlight regularly, then you may be familiar with how the tool remembers your previous search query. Consequently, Spotlight users are then forced to clear the search bar before they can perform a new query.

Albeit a small inconvenience, a new free jailbreak tweak dubbed SpotClearOnClose by iOS developer Kiran Patil can put an end to these shenanigans and save you time the next time you go to use Spotlight search.

LetMeKnow provides subtle feedback when your phone calls connect or disconnect

If you make and receive phone calls on a regular basis, then you may have something to gain by installing a new free jailbreak tweak called LetMeKnow by iOS developer Kiran Patil.

LetMeKnow provides iPhone users with an ounce of haptic feedback whenever a phone call connects or disconnects. It works regardless of which party disconnects the call, and it can prevent you from having to plaster your phone to your face until someone picks up your outgoing calls.

LegiBilly, Mypomanella, and other jailbreak tweaks to check out this weekend

It’s been an exciting week for the jailbreak community. Not only have we seen the official public release of the Cydia-integrated Electra jailbreak tool for iOS 11.0-11.1.2, but we’ve learned that Saurik is still working on official updates for Cydia and Mobile Substrate.

That aside, tweak developers have been launching new releases for both iOS 10 and iOS 11 all week long, and we’ll show you all of them in this roundup. As usual, we’ll kick things off by showcasing our favorites first and then outline the rest of them afterward.

Mypomonella modifies the appearance and behavior of Cydia

Out of all the things you can change on a jailbroken iPhone or iPad, it’s easy to forget that you can also customize the Cydia app itself. Fortunately, this little-known fact didn’t slip the mind of iOS developer CydiaGeek.

His latest jailbreak tweak release, dubbed Mypomonella, lets you modify various aspects and behaviors of the Cydia app until you’re satisfied.

Customize text color and more throughout iOS with LegiBilly

One of the primary reasons we jailbreak our devices is to customize how the operating system looks, and a new free jailbreak tweak called LegiBilly by iOS developer i0s_tweak3r holds true to those roots.

LegiBilly lets you add a splash of color to virtually any label or text color throughout iOS, including what you might find on the Home screen, Lock screen, and Status Bar, among others.
