iOS device users have long been accustomed to seeing their notification banners pop up at the top of the display, but with modern handsets adopting taller, larger displays, it becomes more challenging with each passing day to reach said banners one-handed without doing some serious thumb articulations.

Given the circumstances, iOS developer Rishanan has just released a new free jailbreak tweak called BottomBannersX2, which as the name implies, moves all inbound notification banners to the bottom of the display for easier one-handed access.

Have you ever wanted to record your inbound and outbound phone calls from your iPhone? If so, then you’re not alone; in fact, this is quite possibly one of the most highly-requested features that Apple hasn’t natively implemented in the iPhone’s calling interface.

While a slightly convoluted process exists that may or may not work depending on your carrier, those with jailbroken handsets can make this process a whole lot easier by installing one of two recently-released jailbreak tweaks dubbed Call Recorder X+ (iOS 12) and Super Recorder X+ (iOS 12) by iOS developer hacx.

Apple stops signing iOS 12.1.3, preventing downgrades from iOS 12.1.4

Apple appears to have stopped signing iOS 12.1.3 on Monday, a move on the Cupertino-based company’s part that prevents iOS device users from downgrading their device’s installed firmware from iOS 12.1.4 via iTunes.

This move doesn’t impact the jailbreak community very much because the latest jailbreakable firmware at the time of this writing is iOS 12.1.2, which Apple stopped signing more than a month ago. That said, the jailbreak community isn’t particularly rushing to downgrade to iOS 12.1.3 these days.

Inexplicably, Apple's Reminders app to this date has not bothered to offer us an option to delete all of the completed reminders at once. It should, at the very least, be able to remove completed items after a set number of days, but even that isn't allowed. Basically, you're left with two choices—either, joy, delete completed reminders manually, one by one, like an animal; or, leverage the power of scripting and iOS automation to your advantage like a boss.

Jay Freeman’s Cydia package manager has long enjoyed being the default platform for installing jailbreak apps and tweaks on jailbroken handsets, but even this renowned piece of software has a predecessor.

Veteran jailbreakers who’ve been pwning their handsets since the iPhoneOS 1 days will do good to remember the original package manager for jailbroken devices – Installer 3 by Ripdev & Nullriver Software – and after more than a decade, the project is now being open-sourced.

nControl lets you use console controllers with your jailbroken iPhone or iPad

Many agree that console-based gaming is significantly more immersive than mobile gaming on an iPhone or iPad, and one of the primary factors to be considered in that is having access to a gaming controller that feels good in your hand.

A limited number of MFI (made for iPhone) controllers reside on the market today, but they often fall short of the classics. That’s why iOS developer Kevin Bradley created a new jailbreak tweak called nControl, which adds support for a bevy of popular game console controllers to a subset of iOS games.

If you’re onboard with the idea, then you just might take a liking to a new free jailbreak tweak called PrideBars by iOS developer Blake Boxberger. Once installed, this tweak gives your cellular signal strength indicator a multi-colored makeover in the form of a rainbow.

Pwn20wnd says machswap2 exploit is coming to unc0ver with support for A7-A12(X) devices

It was only two weeks ago that security research @iBSparkes shared an iOS 11.0-12.1.2 exploit dubbed machswap with the general public, and just a few days later, hacker and unc0ver lead developer Pwn20wnd integrated the new exploit into his unc0ver jailbreak tool for A7-A9(X) devices running iOS 11.0-12.1.2. Fortunately, the fun isn’t stopping there.

As it would seem, @iBSparkes has been working on a newer exploit dubbed machswap2, which works in similar ways and supports A7-A12(X) devices running iOS 11.0-12.1.2. Perhaps more importantly, Pwn20wnd got it working with unc0ver, which means the jailbreak tool will soon support both the machswap or machswap2 exploits:
