A couple days after making TinyUmbrella compatible with iOS 5 Beta 3, and following the release of iOS 4.3.4, Notcom has updated his tool yet again, this time to allow you to save your iOS 4.3.4 SHSH blobs.

A quick update to let you know that Notcom has updated TinyUmbrella to version 5.00.04 with iOS 5 Beta 3 support. This update also seems to fix a visual bug that some users may have encountered in the previous version.
As usual, we recommend you download TinyUmbrella and save your SHSH blobs asap to avoid being locked out in the future. Obviously, if you're not a jailbreaker, you shouldn't care about TinyUmbrella...
I've seen countless complaints in the comments regarding saved SHSH blobs using TinyUmbrella not showing up in Cydia. Well, I can finally expect to see those complaints put to a rest (at least until Apple rolls out another iOS update) as Cydia now shows all saved iOS SHSH blobs up to the latest iOS 4.3.3.
If you've launched Cydia today, you'll notice that if you previously saved your SHSH blobs for iOS 4.3.1, iOS 4.3.2, and iOS 4.3.3 they'll now appear in the top banner on the Cydia homepage on your iDevice.

Earlier today, Apple released an FAQ to address the controversial location debacle. Apple acknowledged that there was a bug within iOS. When Location Services was turned off, the iPhone continued to updated WiFi and cell tower data from Apple's crowd-sourced database.
To address this issue, Apple announced that it would be releasing a software update within the next few weeks, most likely iOS 4.3.3. In addition to rectifying the location-tracking issues on iOS devices, Apple might also patch @i0n1c's untethered iOS 4.3.x jailbreak exploit, leaving you with a tethered jailbreak.

It is important you have your SHSH blobs on file for the iOS version you want to downgrade to. If you don’t have your SHSH blobs on file for the iOS you want to downgrade to, you will not be able to downgrade. You can check which SHSH blobs on file you’ve got by launching Cydia and looking at the top of the Cydia homepage where it lists all your saved SHSH blobs.
It's that time again! With the release of iOS 4.3.2/4.2.7, TinyUmbrella developer @notcom has updated the popular utility once again.
The latest version (4.32.01) brings iOS 4.3.2 (GSM) and iOS 4.2.7 (CDMA) support. Additionally, the new version also comes with a new feature which will automatically take you to the TinyUmbrella website when you're running an outdated version (although, we'll always let you know when there's a new update).

Following Apple's official release of iOS 4.3.1 yesterday, notcom has updated TinyUmbrella to support the latest version of iOS.
TinyUmbrella version 4.30.05 supports iOS 4.3.1 for all iDevices. Compatibility excludes the Verizon iPhone 4, since Apple has yet to release iOS 4.3.x for the Verizon iPhone.
As a reminder, to save your SHSH blobs, simply connect your iDevice via USB to your computer, launch TinyUmbrella, and click the “Save SHSH” button.
If you've launched Cydia today, you'll notice that it is now showing your SHSH blob for iOS 4.3 official and beta builds (if you saved them).
Although it is already too late to save your iOS 4.2.1 SHSH blobs, if Cydia isn't showing you've saved your iOS 4.3 SHSH blobs, you may want to fire up TinyUmbrella and save them while you still can. As we've stated before, saving your SHSH blobs can come in handy for future jailbreaks, such as Jailbreak Monte. They are also necessary when you try to downgrade your iPhone to a previous iOS version that Apple is no longer signing.
