Apple TV series based on Asimov’s Foundation science fiction novels confirmed

It's official. Nearly five months after it was first reported that Apple was working on a television series based on Isaac Asimov's Foundation science fiction novels comes word that a full series order has been placed. The series is being written by David Goyer ("The Dark Knight" and "Batman Begins") and Josh Friedman ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.") Asimov's daughter, Robyn Asimov, will serve as an executive producer alongside Skydance Television's David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Marcy Ross, according to Ars Technica.

Apple previews its first Kyoto store with multi-level atrium ahead of Saturday’s grand opening

Apple on Thursday took the press on a tour of its first-ever retail store in Kyoto, Japan. The brick-and-mortar retail store is located on the Shijō Dori street, which has been Kyoto's main shopping corridor since the 1600s. Grand opening celebration will be held Saturday, August 25, at 10am local time, according to the store's listing on Apple's Retail webpage.
