Hidden iTunes assets hint at new iPod colors

Apple yesterday unleashed iTunes 12.2 with Apple Music and Beats 1 integration and as per usual, enthusiasts combing through the installer have managed to find traces of unreleased products.

Hidden device graphics uncovered by MacRumors depicts new color options for iPods, including a gold iPod nano and a brighter pink iPod shuffle.

It's unclear if the unreleased devices are coming, if they might offer only new color options or if a more substantial hardware upgrade is in tow for the aging music player lineup, but additional assets suggest the new colors will be applied across the lineup.

Universal releases full trailer for ‘Steve Jobs’ film

Following a teaser trailer for the Steve Jobs movie we saw back in May, Universal on Wednesday released the full official trailer for the forthcoming flick.

“Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter,” teases Universal Pictures.

Leaked iPhone 6s logic board shows Qualcomm MDM9635M chip for up to 300Mbps LTE speed

Apple's next iPhone should double LTE download speeds from a theoretical maximum of 150Mbps on the present-generation iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus up to 300Mbps on the next-generation 'iPhone 6s' and 'iPhone 6s Plus,' according to a purported logic board leaked by 9to5Mac.

A photo of the alleged 'iPhone 6s' logic board shows a chip identified as the MDM9635M module from Qualcomm, part of its 'Gobi' modem platform.

Apple Music bitrate dependent on connection, new iOS 9 seed due early next week

Apple Music audio quality depends on whether you're streaming over Wi-Fi or cellular, Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, said on Twitter. In addition, users on iOS 9 Developer Preview will be able to sign up for and use Apple's music-streaming service “early next week” when the company is scheduled to seed a new beta of the software to members of its Apple Developer Program, Cue added.

Activator beta now available for iOS 8.4

To state that today has been busy would be an egregious understatement. Actually, the last two weeks have been downright insane with releases.

As you're likely aware of by now, Apple dropped iOS 8.4 today with the new Apple Music service. This has proved to wildly popular, and many, including yours truly, didn't hesitate to ditch the iOS 8.3 jailbreak for iOS 8.4.
