Wallpapers of the week: OnePlus 2 pack for iPhone

Our Wallpapers of the Week category provides photo quality images for your iOS devices every Sunday. Today, we highlight two categories that are frequently very popular. Minimalistic and geometric designs are always on the top of our charts and the following set fits the bill.

Apple has become stingy with their wallpaper catalogue as we entered iOS 9. Consequently, what's wrong with stealing some great wallpapers from a competing device? The collection below is a sampling of the OnePlus 2 stock wallpapers.

Prometheus: upcoming tool may allow unsigned iOS upgrades and downgrades

iOS hacker tihmstar has announced the upcoming release of his tool Prometheus. And no, it doesn't steal fire from the gods for you to foster the burgeoning potential of your race. Instead, he claims it will be the first tool capable of upgrading and downgrading 64-bit iOS devices to unsigned firmwares. If successful, this would be welcome news for the jailbreak community, allowing movement between firmwares for which you have saved your blobs, even after Apple's signing windows have closed.

YouText lets you colorize the text and background of the Notes app

Despite all of the new features the Notes app keeps getting in Apple’s iOS updates, one of the most basic things you still can’t do is change the text color.

A new free jailbreak tweak in Cydia called YouText gives you the ability to change both the text and background color of the Notes app, giving jailbreakers an added layer of customization in the Notes app they didn’t have before.

Scriblit lets you doodle anywhere on your jailbroken device’s screen

Scriblit is a new jailbreak tweak that lets you turn the display of your jailbroken iPhone or iPad into a virtual drawing canvas, allowing you to doodle all over or annotate just about anything you want.

With a slew of configuration options and tools to pick from, you can use Scriblit for a wide range of things, from helping someone out to toying around with photos, but how you use it will depend on your own creativity.

FlixEnhancer adds handy new features to the Netflix app

Netflix is one of the world’s most popular media streaming services in terms of movies and TV shows, and their mobile app is no exception to the service’s popularity.

On the other hand, that doesn’t mean the app is perfect, and that’s why a developer has made a new jailbreak tweak called FlixEnhancer, which brings a slew of new features and improvements to the native Netflix app for iOS.

QuickDial Pro brings 3D Touch-based speed dial to your iPhone

we recently showed you a jailbreak tweak called QuickDial Lite, which allowed you to add speed dial-like features to the iPhone’s Phone app. The same developer has now just launched QuickDial Pro, which takes advantage of new features in the latest iPhones to make the tweak even cooler.

There are some notable differences between the free and paid versions of this jailbreak tweak, and we’ll show you everything you need to know to decide which one is the best fit for you.

Twitter transitioning Vine into pared-down camera app

Twitter on Friday announced that it would not be shutting down its popular video social media service, but will instead transition it into a 'Vine Camera' app. The new app will be a very pared-down version of the current client, and will be available in January.

With Vine Camera, you'll still be able to record looping 6-second videos, but your only other options will be to share it to Twitter or save it to your phone. The goal here is to allow folks to continue to create Vines, but to move the social media aspect to Twitter.

Apple gives employees t-shirt and credo print for the holidays

Apple this year is giving each of its retail employees a special edition t-shirt and credo printing gift for the holidays. MacRumors has photos of the presents, which show a gray t-shirt featuring a two-circle design made up of all of Apple's retail locations.

As for the credo, it's printed on what appears to be glossy, heavy paper and it even comes in a protective envelop. Apple introduced the 6-paragraph statement earlier this year, which starts off "we are here to enrich lives, to help dreamers become doers."
