UStream.TV is streaming Steve Job's keynotes live. The sound is of decent quality but it might get worse as more people connect to the site.
iPhone Dev Center goes offline for “update”
The Apple Store as well as the iPhone Dev Center are currently offline. Apparently, Apple is "updating" the sites. Are we going to see a new iPhone on it later today?
WWDC 2008 Live Coverage
Here are some of the tech people who will be covering WWDC 2008. Most awaited is of course Steve Jobs keynotes about the 3G iPhone. I am not sure Apple will be streaming the event live but I know for sure that you will be able to see the video of the keynotes later that day from Apple.com and you can also download it as a podcast.

3G iPhone Mockups
There are some things we already know about the new iPhone: it will have GPS, it will work on the 3G network. One thing we don't know yet (at least until tomorrow) is what it's going to look like.
Wired listed 11 of the best and crazy iPhone designs from iLounge's contest. These mock-ups were designed by the readers of iLounge, which held a competition to find the best ideas for the new iPhone.
iPhone 2 to Be Sold “at Significantly Lower Prices”
The Financial Times is not like TechCrunch. Usually, when they say something, the information has been verified and is not a vague rumor spread out for the buzz...
The Financial Times said yesterday night that:
The new version of the Apple iPhone is set to be sold at significantly lower prices than the existing one, in a tacit acknowledgement by the US technology company that its previous sales strategy was not sustainable. Apple has bowed to pressure from mobile phone operators and agreed they can subsidise the latest iPhone, expected to be unveiled by Steve Jobs, Apple’s chief executive, on Monday.
A $200 dollar iPhone would sound really good to me. The only problem I would have with this is that anyone would have an iPhone. I like my iPhone because it's something that not everybody can afford. Now if everyone and anyone owns one, I won't feel different.
iDish: new iPhone dishwasher feature
My "contact at Apple" is telling me that the new iPhone will have a dishwasher feature that will do the dishes for you. This new feature is called iDish.
I wonder if this feature is gonna drain the batteries or not but I am so excited I've already put my dishwasher for sale on Craigslist.
Who needs a dishwasher when you can have a phone, iPod, email, internet, gps, and dishwasher in your pocket?
Leaked iPhone rumors leaked
Have we had enough of all these iPhone rumors? In 2 days, we heard about 10 different rumors, including, new iPhone touchscreen, software leaks, and of course, the leaked pictures of the 3G iPhone. I haven't reported the latter because I am tired of wasting my time on such bs.
I am a conspiracy theorist and I do think that 90% of these "leaked rumors" are actually made up by tech websites and blogs themselves to create buzz, or simply for link baiting.
Have you noticed how it's always a "trustworthy source", or an "insider source" that brings the breaking news? I understand that tech blogs want to get traffic (who doesn't?) but the problem is that if we can't even trust our favorite information resources, who can we trust?
The big difference between a blog and an actual news info resource such as the NY Times is that the newspaper has to verify its sources. The blog doesn't! The blog can pretty much say anything they want because they are not tied to the journalistic ethic.
I feel kinda cheated on by tech blogs. They are pretty much saying "let's post lies on our blog about the new iPhone, these stupids will come. They always do!"
Reality is none of these made up rumors will happen to be true. Oh, yes, the rumor that said the iPhone will have 3G and GPS is most likely true.... But any other rumor about the shape, colors, special features, etc.. is just pure speculation or dream.
Never in the past an Apple product has been leaked. Why? Simply because Apple has its partners sign the gnarliest NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) that make it pretty expensive for them to make it up to Apple should they leak any information.
Rumors won't last long since we'll know all about the new iPhone on Monday.

3G iPhone Software Leaked
Engadget get from a reliable source that a version of the 3G iPhone's firmware has been dissected. No big surprise on the "findings": GPS, and tri-band UMTS / HSDPA (which makes a phone 3G-capable.

Apple encouraging iPhone developers to charge for apps
Somehow, I am not surprised at all! It's no secret that I really don't like the way Apple does business. Apple came up once again with another way to sneakingly get more money out of you. Apple Insider writes about how developers who want to release apps for the iPhone and iPod touch for free are being encouraged by Apple to charge a fee instead.
According to AI, lucky companies are being assigned iPhone development partners who are encouraging developers to charge for rather than give away their wares. Since Apple is making 30% of all applications sales, they do have interests in encouraging business.
