How to Customize Your ‘Slide to Unlock’ Knob

ColoredKnob is a perfect example of the adage that simplicity = generally awesome. Placing a colored slide to unlock nub on an otherwise overcast iOS lock screen looks incredible, as you'll no doubt agree from our photos and video.

As most of you know, I pride myself in maintaining the stock iOS water droplets wallpaper, which isn't the most interesting piece of work on the block, in fact it's quite snore-worthy.

That’s why I like this tweak so much; add it to the stock wallpaper, and bam, it's a whole new work of art.

Don't believe me? See for yourselves...

Upcoming Jailbreak Tweak Promises Deep Siri Customization

If you're looking to customize Siri on your jailbroken iDevice, then there are already a few options available on Cydia.

AssistantExtensions, and SiriToggles are perhaps two of the best examples of Siri customization on a jailbroken device, but there's one in the works that's looking like a winner as well.

Indeed, MySiri — an upcoming Siri tweak — promises to add a ridiculous amount of end-user control to the Siri interface.

Co-developers Andrea Oliva & Akhil Tolani provided us with a sneak peak of the upcoming tweak. Check inside as we give it the full video preview...

HomePlayer: A Fully Focused Audio Interface for the Music App

HomePlayer is a jailbreak tweak that brings a fully focused audio experience to your SpringBoard. It interfaces directly with the Music app to bring a full screen music playing session to the Home Screen.

When I say "fully focused" I truly mean it, as the app completely disables the Home button's functionality to prevent users from exiting the interface.

It's an interesting concept, although it can be a bit buggy at times. In the end it's an obvious 1.0 tweak that can go as far as its developers decide to take it...

Besides perhaps Twitter, Google Trends are a good way to gauge what's hot on the web, and now there's a pint-sized version for iPhone owners.

RestartAlerter: Be Alerted When Your Device Reboots or Resprings

Sometimes our iDevice's act crazy, unpredictable even. Sometimes, it's necessary to attempt to troubleshoot issues.

That's pretty much the only reason I could ever see a tweak like RestartAlerter coming into play; when troubleshooting issues.

Yep, it's a tweak that alerts your when your iDevice restarts or resprings, and that's pretty much all it does...

It's a bit hard to explain without showing you, but have you ever wanted to get rid of the transparent icon effect that happens when you open the App Switcher or open a folder?
