Few superheroes are as instantly recognizable as Spider-Man. From the red and blue suit to the webbed mask and unmistakable silhouette swinging between skyscrapers, the friendly neighborhood hero has been a pop-culture icon for more than six decades. Recently released Spider-Man Brand New day has people clamoring for even more content. Today’s Wallpapers of the Week collection brings that legendary look to your iPhone.
Spider-Man wallpaper pack for iPhone
Spider-Man first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962, created by Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. Unlike many superheroes of the era, Peter Parker wasn’t a billionaire, an alien, or a larger-than-life figure before gaining his powers. He was a teenager dealing with school, money, relationships, and all of the normal frustrations of growing up.
That relatability helped turn Spider-Man into one of the most enduring characters in comics, and his popularity has only expanded through decades of television series, video games, animated films, and blockbuster movies. For wallpaper fans, Spider-Man also happens to be an incredible subject.
The character’s signature color palette is practically made for a bright iPhone display. Deep reds, vivid blues, heavy blacks, and dramatic city backgrounds can really pop on an OLED panel. Depending on the artwork, Spider-Man wallpapers range from colorful comic book illustrations to dark, minimal backgrounds that look particularly sharp on the Lock Screen, which are featured below.
