I came across these four wallpapers by John Craig (@johncraig428) while browsing X. They instantly looked familiar to me. And that’s when I realized that they remind me of the beautiful launch wallpapers Apple used for the iPhone XR and XS.
On second thought, the big colorful and the smaller plain bubbles also reminded me of playing marbles.
And, on some level, these wallpapers also resemble a highly zoomed-in image of the iconic Earthrise photograph. I’m talking about the famous photo of Earth rising over the lunar horizon captured by astronaut William Anders during the Apollo 8 mission in 1968.
