For better or worse, the new iOS 26 Liquid Glass design language is continuing to be front page news. Many are heralding the new Liquid Glass design as the most refreshing update since iOS 7 went to a completely flat experience, eschewing the previous 6 years of skeuomorphic design. Others are joining the outcry of anti-Liquid Glass commentary. The din of noise around the UI is causing Apple to slightly buckle under the feedback. Most recently, iOS 26 beta updates are even including a toggle to reduce the glassy effect across the UI. We are celebrating the Liquid Glass design with these fuzzy experiences for your Lock Screen.
Fuzzy Liquid Glass wallpapers
I was struck by these wallpapers when scrolling through X. At first glance, I’m not sure what exactly stopped me in my scrolling tracks. After deeper thought, I think the multiple contrasting visual stimuli is the attention grabbing effect.
The Cosmic Orange version caught me first. Naturally, the iPhone 17 Pro matching colorway is enough for me to give it a second look. Then, the glassy elements offer iOS 26 consistency, which is pleasing to the eye as well. But, the smooth finish contrasts with a loud color. Finally, below the looking glass windows find an alternate, fuzzy texture which adds contrasting visual experiences.
What we have in total is a stunning spectrum of experiences: flaring orange gradient; a smooth, shiny, hard, glass-like window; and, a soft, fuzzy, warm texture.
