SplitViewEverywhere enables Split View multitasking for all apps on jailbroken iPads

Split View multitasking and Slide Over on the iPad are both great, when they work. Unfortunately, Apple limits this functionality to certain apps, such as Settings. That said, wouldn’t it be just wonderful if this helpful functionality extended to all apps instead of a select few chosen by Apple?

If you agree, then I think you’re going to love a newly released and free jailbreak tweak called SplitViewEverywhere by iOS developer ETHN because it unlocks these capabilities for all apps on jailbroken iPads.

As noted by the developer in the tweak’s depiction page via the Havoc repository, watching Netflix videos while chatting in Discord via Split View multitasking, for example, wasn’t possible before, but is now thanks to the SplitViewEverywhere tweak.

Once installed, there aren’t any options to configure, and that’s because the tweak serves one purpose and does it quite well — it enables the Split View feature we all want that Apple has disabled for most apps. To disable the tweak, you would need to uninstall it completely.

As a tweak that benefits the user experience of jailbroken iPads, it’s easy to recommend SplitViewEverywhere. Bonus points also go to ETHN for enabling stock Apple functionality for unsupported apps.

If you’re interested in giving SplitViewEverywhere a try, then you can download it for free from the Havoc repository via your favorite package manager app. Please note that this tweak is only intended for iPads and will not unable this functionality on iPhones. Supported iPads include those running iPadOS versions 15 and 16.

SplitViewEverywhere has also been made open source on the developer’s GitHub page for those interested in learning more about how it works under the hood.
