TrollSpeed JB brings popular download/upload speed display add-on for TrollStore to jailbroken devices

Just last month, we showed you an add-on for TrollStore called TrollSpeed that could display your handset’s current download and upload speeds in the Status Bar, or right above the Dynamic Island if you had one.

TrollSpeed JB.

But if you’re jailbroken, then you now have the option of installing the jailbreak tweak version of TrollSpeed called TrollSpeed JB by iOS developer 82flex instead of the TrollStore version. It does mostly the same thing as the TrollStore version, albeit without the requirement that you have TrollStore installed.

According to the tweak’s depiction page, the TrollSpeed JB jailbreak tweak supports jailbroken devices running iOS 14, 15, 16, and 17, which are the same versions of iOS supported by TrollStore. Hmm… 🤔

Once installed, TrollSpeed JB adds a dedicated app to the Home Screen where you can customize where the download and upload speed indicator appears on your display.

You can move it around until satisfied with the placement, and when you are, you can exit the HUD and it will be registered as a launch service and kept running so that the information always shows on your screen.

If you have a jailbroken device with TrollStore installed on it, it really doesn’t matter whether you install the jailbreak tweak version or the TrollStore edition, but the TrollStore edition might be better since it will keep working after a reboot, while your jailbreak will not (you need to re-jailbreak after a reboot).

If you’re interested in giving TrollSpeed JB a try, then you can download it for free from the Havoc repository for free. It’s also fully open source on the developer’s GitHub page for anyone who wants to learn more about how it works.
