watchOS 10.3 release notes: The new Unity Bloom watch face for your wrist

The official release notes for watchOS 10.3 mention but a single Apple Watch feature—a new watch face to celebrate Black History Month.

The new Unity Bloom watch face is one of the ways Apple recognizes Black History Month, which honors the role of African Americans in US history. The Unity Bloom watch face animates upon wrist raise, and can be customized by choosing between a full-bloom or single-bloom arrangement.

The Unity Bloom wallpaper for iPhone and iPad is available with iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3. You can also order the new Black Unity sport band for Apple Watch.

watchOS 10.3 includes new features, improvements and bug fixes, including new Unity Bloom watch face to honor Black history and culture in celebration of Black History Month.

iOS 17.3 and other Apple updates

In addition to macOS Sonoma 14.3, Apple launched a barrage of other updates for the iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV and HomePod on January 23.

iPadOS 17.3 has the same features and fixes as iOS 17.3, sans Stolen Device Protection. macOS Sonoma 14.3 brought Apple Music playlist collaboration and expanded warranty coverage section in System Settings.

Updates for the HomePod and Apple TV arrived on January 23, too, but those are maintenance releases with security patches and no outward-facing new features.
