It was only a couple of days ago that the RootHide jailbreak detection bypass for rootless jailbreaks such as Dopaminecame out of beta, and it’s been taking the community by storm. But since its release, many users reported how it didn’t work in certain apps.
Late Friday night, the RootHide team took to the dedicated Discord server to announce the release of RootHide version 1.0.2 to address these concerns. The latest update appears to introduce the following changes:
– Fix for failure to bypass jailbreak detection on some devices
– Fix for issue where jailbreak would fail on some devices
– Fix for issue where jailbreak success rate what’s displayed properly
– Fix for localized localized language display issues in RootHideManager
And speaking of RootHideManager, that add-on also received an update late last night to version 0.3-1+debug to update varClean rules as to avoid accidentally deleting Face ID files, according to a separate announcement in the Discord server:
Existing RootHide users can upgrade their installation by downloading the latest .tipa file from the project’s GitHub pageand then perma-signing it with TrollStore. It will over-write the existing installation, and then users can re-jailbreak with the RootHide Dopamine jailbreak app to apply the latest patches.
The latest version of RootHideManager, on the other hand, can be installed by opening your preferred package manager and refreshing your sources to find the update ready and waiting to be installed.
As it would seem, getting jailbreak detection bypasses to work is a tricky business. While this update is sure to help some people, we have a feeling that it won’t be the last update attempting to address jailbreak detection by certain pesky apps.
