As we march (pun intended) toward September, the iPhone 15 rumor mill whispers are starting to solidify. Recent conjecture expects some form factor changes on the side rails, with more rounded edges, paired with flat sides. Pundits are also starting to align on anticipated color ways, specifically for the Pro lineup. These iPhone 15 concept wallpapers capture some of that commentary.

Of course, until Tim Cook pops out on stage, or appears in one of Apple’s new go to market product announcement videos, we will not know the color ways or design. Recent commentary pegs the new designs with either an orange/bronze or possibly a dark red colorway, almost a maroon of sorts. Supporting the maroon rumor, the Pantone Color of the Year is “Viva Magenta,” which could lend credence to the claim, given some previous overlap between iPhone colors and Pantone’s choices.
iDB regularly-featured artist, @AR72014, frequently produces upcoming iOS release concept wallpapers. Personally, I enjoy his wallpapers more than all stock Apple wallpaper and I wish they would take him up on the ideas. The following images are a combination of two things: his concept for the upcoming wallpaper design and the rumored color ways.
In my mind, these designs take some notes from the watchOS Pride Woven faces. These stringed bands remind me of that language. The simple design gives plenty of room for an OLED screen to pop the actual colors, despite them being fairly dark.
