Welcome back to another edition of our Apps of the Week roundup, where we highlight new and interesting apps we’ve come across recently. This week we have a powerful calorie counter, a versatile AI app, and a mighty mindfulness companion. And as always, we’ve selected a fun new game for you to check out.
If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to get in better shape, this app is for you. Lilbite aims to make it easier to count your calories and get the most out of your diet plan. It has a vast library of the foods you love, a label scanner, a macronutrient calculator, and even a water tracker! There’s no registration or signup required, but there are a handful of features hidden behind a Premium subscription. If you need an alternative to MyFitnessPal, this seems worth checking out.
AI & Stuff
We’re back with another AI app, but instead of it being focused on just chat or drawing, this one combines everything into one. You can chat with a sophisticated AI, generate images using Stable Diffusion, and view those images in AR. That’s chat, image generator, AR. Chat, image—are you getting it? This isn’t three separate apps. It’s one app, and they call it AI & Stuff.
Eternal: Meditation & Sleep
Coming from someone who used to be a huge skeptic, this mindfulness stuff is for real. I don’t know about all the sitting cross-legged, humming to yourself stuff, but there are legit benefits to taking a few minutes out of your day to take a chill pill. Eternal is a great wellness app for beginners, but also includes hundreds of tracks for intermediate and advanced users. It’s split into 4 categories: meditate, sleep, move and focus. Check it out!
Punch Kick Duck
Okay, I’m going to be completely honest with you. The name got me. Seriously. It was like a bright light came down from the sky and onto this app when I came across it. Punch. Kick. Duck. I almost want to just make that the description. Just those three words. But theirs is pretty good too: Simple controls and smooth flowing action mean you’ll soon be sending foes flying and getting high scores on your quest for vengeance. Punch beats kick, kick beats duck, duck beats punch. Just be sure to watch out for the bears! Oh yeah, I’m so playing this this weekend.
