Things have been so crazy lately with all of Apple’s latest product announcements that it would’ve been easy to miss iOS developer Opa334 releasing a new and free package for jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 14.0-14.8.1 devices called TrollStore Helper.
In a nutshell, TrollStore Helper makes it easy to install the new and wildly popular TrollStore perma-signing utility for .ipa files on a compatible pwned device. By installing the package, you tap a few buttons and have TrollStore up and running on your device in no time at all.
According to the developer, TrollStore Helper not only makes installing TrollStore easier, but it can also be used to refresh app registrations from TrollStore as needed when they become invalid due to iOS rebuilding the icon cache. The TrollStore Helper app itself becomes perma-signed and can still be launched in a non-jailbroken state.
While the previous process of installing TrollStore on jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 14 devices meant going over to the GitHub page and downloading the .deb file to install via Filza or another compatible app, we think that the TrollStore Helper package offers one of the fastest and most convenient ways for a jailbreaker to install and enjoy TrollStore.
Those interested in trying the new TrollStore Helper package can download it for free from the Havoc repository via their favorite package manager app. Please note that only jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 1.40-14.8.1 devices are supported. An entirely different install process entails iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.1.1 devices, as a jailbreak isn’t yet available for said devices.
