Give your jailbroken iPhone’s volume HUD a new color scheme with Voloc

iOS developer ElioFegh is out with a brand new jailbreak tweak this weekend called Voloc, which permits jailbreakers to colorize their handset’s volume HUD interface in any way they see fit.

As you can see in the screenshot examples above, the tweak uses a two-tone color approach to enhancing the aesthetics of your volume HUD, and provides one color for the used portion of the volume bar and a secondary color for the unused portion of the volume bar.

But the intrigue doesn’t end there, because when you visit the dedicated preference pane in the Settings app, you’ll find that you can actually choose two different color sets: one for when your device is configured to use light mode, and another for when your device is configured to use dark mode:

From the preference pane, you will be able to change the following options:

  • Enable or disable the back color (unused potion of volume bar)
  • Enable or disable the front color (used portion of volume bar)
  • Configure a light mode back color
  • Configure a light mode front color
  • Configure a dark mode back color
  • Configure a dark mode front color

After you’ve applied the settings you prefer, you should be able to see them take effect immediate by pressing the volume up or volume down buttons. If needed, you can respring your device to jump-start the changes.

Anyone interested in giving the new voloc jailbreak tweak a try can download it for free from ElioFegh’s personal repository via whichever package manager app they prefer. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 13 and 14 devices only.

If you’re not already taking advantage of ElioFegh’s personal repository, then you can add it to your package manager app of choice by using the URL that we’ve embedded for you below:
