Pencil Pro can help you reimagine what’s possible with your iPad’s Apple Pencil 2

Got a jailbroken iPad with Apple Pencil 2 compatibility? If so, then you might be leaving handy functionality on the table if you haven’t already installed iOS developer PoomSmart’s Pencil Pro jailbreak tweak.

Pencil Pro is a slick add-on that makes it easier to pair and use your Apple Pencil 2 with a compatible iPad. From what we can gather, the tweak’s two primary functional benefits include the following:

  • Pairing a new Apple Pencil 2 with your iPad by simply snapping it to the magnet on the side
  • Using the Apple Pencil 2 to invoke finger-only actions and gestures, such as launching Control Center or interacting with notifications, just to make a few.

The Apple Pencil 2 is already a handy accessory for compatible iPads thanks to the precision it brings to tasks like drawing and writing, but with the addition of easier pairing and more gesture support, it can become an even more powerful tool for users.

Pencil Pro is available as a free download from PoomSmart’s personal repository and supports jailbroken iPads running iPadOS 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14. The tweak is also fully open source on the developer’s GitHub page.

Those who aren’t already taking advantage of PoomSmart’s personal repository can add it to their package manager app by using the URL provided below:
