Whether cryptocurrency piques merely your interest or you’re actively spending or trading cryptocurrency, having quick and reliable access to real time value data can be extraordinarily helpful.
While a handful of apps exist for tracking cryptocurrency rates, iOS developer NewPolygons has released a new and free jailbreak tweak dubbed CryptoWatch that conveniently displays the value of your preferred cryptocurrency right in your pwned iPhone’s Status Bar for your viewing pleasure.
As you’ll see for yourself in the screenshot example above, CryptoWatch adds the cryptocurrency value directly underneath the Status Bar’s time display. Our example uses an iPhone X, a notched handset, however we’ve been unable to confirm if the tweak supports older Home Button-equipped devices without a notch.
As for changing what your favorite cryptocurrency value display would be, CryptoWatch adds a dedicated preference pane to the Settings app where users can make their preferred selection:

Once finished making a selection, users will want to tap on the Respring button at the bottom of the preference pane to save their changes and ensure that the Status Bar reflects their current changes.
While not for everyone, CryptoWatch is a great way to keep cryptocurrency values in your line of sight since the Status Bar is visible from almost anywhere in iOS. It’s a great add-on to have if you take any interest in cryptocurrency, and even more so if you’re in any way invested in it.
