The best waterproof Bluetooth speakers

For the folks out there who like to spend time outside but don’t want to lose out on listening to music, being able to bring along a Bluetooth speaker is a welcomed one.

But having to worry about water isn’t great, which is why a waterproof Bluetooth speaker is the best way to go for some situations. Whether that’s because you’re heading to the beach, going to spend time by the pool, at a river or lake, or might be in a spot where it’s going to rain, not having to worry about some moisture is comforting. Plus, it means you can keep the music playing even if your speaker gets wet.

We’ve put together a quick list of the best waterproof Bluetooth speakers you can get right now, so let’s dig in:

The best waterproof speakers with Bluetooth

Ultimate Ears BOOM 3

The Ultimate Ears BOOM 3 is designed to be super portable, easy to bring along with you, and its waterproof design means it can survive in a rainstorm or the pool. And this portable Bluetooth-equipped speaker can actually float, so tossing it into the pool is an actual thing you can do with this speaker. It can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

The rechargeable battery can keep the music playing for up to 15 hours on a single charge. And it supports wireless charging, too, but you’ll need the proprietary POWER UP charging dock to charge that way.

As far as sound is concerned, it has a maximum sound level of 90dBa, and it has a frequency range between 90Hz to 20 Kilohertz. Ultimate Ears says the speaker has been fine-tuned to offer 360-degree sound, and it has “deep and accurate bass”. There is a “magic button” on the speaker itself, which will let you control any streaming music, while also play, pause, or skip what’s playing with a single button.

Ultimate Ears has a range of different speakers, and they can be linked together to have multiple play the same song at the same time. Owners can use the Ultimate Ears app to sync up the speakers, up to 150 speakers at the same time. This feature works with any BOOM and MEGABOOM speakers.

The two-tone fabric on the speaker itself is durable, so it should last for as long as you travel.

The BOOM 3 Bluetooth speaker comes in a variety of color options: Dusk, Lagoon Blue, Moon, Night Black, Storm, Sunset Red, and Ultraviolet Purple. It’s available now from Amazon.

The company says that you can connect the Charge 4 with up to more than 100 other Connect+-enabled speakers. So if you’re invested in the JBL family, you can have a truly immersive listening experience by connecting all of the speakers.
