The Electra Team has dropped an updated version of the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool on Tuesday, bringing the public release up to version 1.3.7.

Citing the official announcement, which was shared early this morning via the Electra Team’s official Twitter account, this update implements support for getting and setting nonce generator on A12(X) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.2 and 12.4:

For those unaware, the nonce generator function is used in the process of saving and using blobs for firmware downgradability.

If you’ve used Chimera to jailbreak any other device or firmware combination apart from those mentioned above, then you needn’t trouble yourself with installing Tuesday’s Chimera update, as it doesn’t appear from the change log notes that it incorporates any notable changes apart from the updated generator support.

As always, you can download the latest version of the Chimera jailbreak from the Electra Team’s official Chimera website. Those who’ve never used Chimera to jailbreak their handset(s) before can follow our detailed step-by-step tutorial on the entire process.
