This tweak removes the Dock’s background to make your wallpaper more visible

While there are slight variances in the Dock‘s background appearance between iPhone models, such as the iPad-style rounded corners on the iPhone X, XR, XS, and XS Max when compared to the rectangular appearance on every other handset, the fact remains that all iOS devices have a Dock background of some sort.

If you’re in the market to do away with the Dock’s transparent background to maximize your Home screen wallpaper’s visibility, then we think you’ll take a liking to a newly released jailbreak tweak called ClearDock12 by iOS developer NoisyFlake.

As depicted in the before and after screenshot examples above, ClearDock12 is a very simple add-on that does precisely what the name implies. You’ll notice that the Dock’s background has been entirely nixed after installing the tweak. Depending on the circumstances, this can make certain detailed Home screen wallpapers look much nicer.

Because ClearDock12 was created to do just one thing, it doesn’t come with any options to configure; it doesn’t really necessitate a toggle switch either, as merely uninstalling the tweak from your device would have the same impact as one.

If you think that ClearDock12 would complement your jailbroken device, then you can download it for free from the Packix repository in Cydia or Sileo. The tweak is compatible with pwned handsets running iOS 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12.
