Squad, Trippo, IDAGIO and other apps to check out this weekend

Apps of the week

This week’s edition of our Apps of the Week roundup includes a screen-sharing app for friends, a trip-planner for day-dreamers and a streaming service focused on classical music. And as always, we’ve selected two great new games for you to check out.

Squad

Do you ever wish you could use apps and shop online with friends? You can with Squad. It’s a screen-sharing app that allows you to show your friends almost anything on your phone. Should you buy this jacket? Should you swipe right or left on Tinder? Use Squad to get your friends involved. You can also look at photos, watch videos and even listen to music and podcasts together.

Trippo

Here is another interesting app that helps you capture and organize your travel ideas. Just take a screenshot of the beach, cabin or destination that you’d like to visit, share it with Trippo, and the app will take care of the rest. It can add location information, maps, related images and other information to help you plan your getaway. And since you can sort images into groups, you can plan multiple trips at a time.

IDAGIO

If you’re a big fan of classical music, and streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify don’t offer enough choices, check out IDAGIO. The app features new, exclusive and rare recordings, offline listening, high quality lossless audio (FLAC), and support for AirPlay, Chromecast and Sonos. Like other services, it has a monthly fee, but there is a two week free trial for you to test it out.

UltiMatt

UltiMatt is a fast-paced arcade game where you try to catch frisbees hurled into the sky. The gameplay is very simple: just tap the screen to make your player jump and the longer you hold your finger down, the higher you jump. It’s all about timing your jump correctly to catch each disc. Besides 1-touch gameplay, other features include 5 different game modes, unlovable characters and discs, and a global leaderboard.

Bad Hungry Monster

If you’re looking for something a little different, check out Bad Hungry Monster.
