It has yet again been a relatively quiet week in Cydia for the jailbreak community, which is growing ever so more impatient with the lack of a jailbreak for the latest iOS version.
Nevertheless, Cydia is still turning over new jailbreak tweak releases from those persistent iOS developers out there. We’ll show you everything that was new in Cydia this week, starting with our favorites, and then we will quickly go over the rest.
Our favorite releases this week
Audicy – $2.99
Audicy is a new jailbreak tweak that allows you to import media files to your stock media apps.
With it, you can import music, videos, podcasts, ringtones, and much more to apps like Music, Videos, and Podcasts.
You can edit the file’s metadata as you add it, allowing you to precisely choose the album artwork and details about the file as they’ll be displayed on your iOS device later on when you try to view it.
It works great with downloading tweaks like Safari Downloader+ or Chrome Downloader+. You can read our full review of Audicy to learn more about how the importing features work.
LiveRinging – $1.99
LiveRinging is a great jailbreak tweak release we saw this week that lets you enable video ringtones on the iOS platform.
This is essentially the same features Android users have been able to enjoy for ages, allowing you to assign a video to play on your screen in the background of the incoming or outgoing call interface.
You can configure individual videos for unknown callers and contacts, and you can even set individual videos to independent contacts.
