9.7″ iPad Pro certainly doesn’t skimp on camera tech, but is this a new normal for iPads?

Apple's best mobile cameras go into iPhones, not iPads, though a curious thing happened at today's unveiling of a smaller 9.7-inch iPad Pro—both it and the iPhone 6s share a powerful Apple-designed camera subsystem which takes sharp snaps in twelve megapixels and shoots video in 4K.

Even more curiously, the bigger 12.9-inch iPad Pro remains stuck with a previous-generation shooter even though that device was released barely six months ago.

The decision to give the 9.7-inch iPad Pro virtually the same camera subsystem as the iPhone 6s is a welcome surprise which we hope kicks off a new trend for Apple.

For those that still want a smaller iPhone, Apple announced a new 4-inch handset at its 'Let us loop you in' event on Monday. Dubbed the iPhone SE, the device is practically the same (dimensionally) as the iPhone 5/5s, but has very different hardware inside.

The cost-efficient price tag and the improved feature set are sure to attract customers come pre-ordering on Thursday, March 24th, so without further ado let's get into the niddy griddy and show you the tech specs of the new iPhone SE.

Apple announced its new 9.7-inch iPad Pro on Monday at its 'Let us loop you in' event. It's a miniature powerhouse that includes a lot of similar tech from its 12.9-inch big brother. With the smaller price tag, and smaller footprint for those who need portability, many are eager to get their hands on one.

Apple introduces new iPhone SE cases, also compatible with iPhone 5 and 5s

Looking for a case for that new iPhone SE you're getting later this week? Apple has you covered. The company on Monday introduced a new leather case for its just-announced handset. It comes in colors Black and Midnight Blue, and Apple says it's compatible with older iPhone 5 and 5s models.

This is good news for folks hoping to use their old iPhone 5/5s cases on the new iPhone SE. We've known that the dimensions on the different phone models are the same, 4.87 in (123.8 mm) x 2.31 in (58.6 mm) x 0.30 in (7.6 mm), but this is the first time Apple has confirmed case compatibility.

tvOS 9.2, a new update for the operating system which powers the fourth-generation Apple TV, is now available for public consumption. The new firmware, released alongside iOS 9.3, OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 and watchOS 2.2, is a very interesting update for the cool new features it brings to the table.

tvOS 9.2 enables several features missing from the initial tvOS release, including long-awaited support for wireless keyboards, dictation, Siri support for App Store searches, app folders on the Home screen, a revamped app switcher, Siri Remote improvements, support for Live Photos and iCloud Photo Library and more.

OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 is out with full Live Photos sharing, password-protected Notes and more

After spending more than two months in beta, OS X 10.11.4, a fourth major update to OS X El Capitan, today released for public consumption. The software update is now available and recommended for all OS X El Capitan users.

Even though it comes with a few noticeable outward-facing changes, OS X 10.11.4 does pack in some newsworthy improvements—namely in stock Messages, Notes and Photos apps. Full sharing of Live Photos via iMessages has been implemented throughout the system, too. Like other major OS X releases, 10.11.4 includes a handful of under-the-hood changes and tons of bug fixes and performance optimizations.

watchOS 2.2 launches with Nearby in Maps, pairing of multiple watches and more

In addition to the major iOS 9.3 software update for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, a companion software update for the Apple Watch released this morning, too. The new watchOS 2.2 firmware is now available as an over-the-air download in the companion Watch app for the iPhone.

watchOS 2.2 is not as major a release as iOS 9.3 or OS X 10.11.4 so ti includes only a few improvements such as the Nearby feature in Apple's Maps app, the ability to pair multiple watches to a single iPhone and more.

Apple releases iOS 9.3 with Night Shift Mode, protected Notes, new 3D Touch goodies and more

After testing it with registered developers and public beta testers, Apple today released the iOS 9.3 software update for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. A major new software update, iOS 9.3 is now available on all iOS 9-comptaible devices in Settings right General → Software Update and brings several headline new features along with a bunch of under-the-hood tweaks and enhancements.

Some of the big new features of iOS 9.3 include Night Shift Mode, passcode or Touch ID protection of your notes, enhancements in News and Health apps, as well as important enhancements for iOS in the classroom such as managed Apple IDs, multi-user support on iPads and more.

Apple pushes further into health space with CareKit

In addition to new iPhones and iPads, Apple on Monday also announced a new software framework called CareKit. The initiative is an extension to ResearchKit, which launched last year to give hospitals and University's a way to conduct broad medical studies using iOS devices.

CareKit uses similar principles to help individuals keep track of care plans, as well as monitor their symptoms and medication. The goal is to provide insights that help people better understand their health, which may encourage them to take a more active role in their wellbeing.

Apple announced a new 9.7-inch iPad Pro to join its existing lineup of tablets. It comes with some interesting new features and some hardware bumps, and some excellent new configurations.

Powered by an A9X chip and sporting new display technologies like the True Tone display, a powerful 12 megapixel iSight camera with 4K video recording, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro makes for a wonderful portable workstation no matter the conditions where you're using the tablet.

If you're interested in picking one up, then obviously you'll need to know when they're available and what they're going to cost you.

At its press-only media event Monday morning, which is currently underway in Cupertino, California, Apple has formally announced a smaller iPad Pro alongside the iPhone SE, new Apple Watch bands and more. As previously suspected, the new device is a smaller 9.7-inch iPad Pro model that shares the same powerful internals with its bigger brother rather than it being a third-generation iPad Air.

These include Apple's most advanced A9X processor, a 2,048-by-1,536 pixel resolution screen with pixel support for the Apple Pencil, the Smart Connector that allows accessories to attach magnetically and provides power and data, and other perks—and it weighs less than a pound, which is the same wight as the iPad Air 2.

Hold on to your seats, iOS 9.3 is arriving today

Apple has just revealed at its 'Let us loop you in' media event when customers around the world will be able to download and install iOS 9.3. The third major update to iOS 9.0 since its September 2015 debut, iOS 9.3 will release later today, Apple has said.

The free software update for any iOS 9-compatible iPhone, iPod touch and iPad includes features like Night Shift Mode, which reduces blue light to avoid disrupting your sleep cycles, and the ability to pair multiple watches to a single iPhone.

In iOS 9.3, users can protect their notes with a passcode or Touch ID, enjoy an even more personalized News, take advantage of an enhanced Health app that integrates move, exercise and stand data, along with goals from Apple Watch apps, to mention just a few highlights.
