GreenPois0n Lockscreen Makes Waiting for iPhone 4.1 Jailbreak (un)Bearable

I need it.  You need it.  We all need the 4.1 GreenPois0n jailbreak!  To help us wait out these final days, a guy who appropriately goes by the name of “Sadist” has a GreenPois0n battery, lockscreen and slider theme available in Cydia.

Except after installing it I realized it just makes me more impatient for the new jailbreak, especially when the slider taunts “Inject the Pois0n.”  So he’s not just a sadist, he’s a tease...

GreenPois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak to Hacktivate the iPhone

Here is some good news for jailbreakers and unlockers waiting for the GreenPoison jailbreak, which should now come out anytime soon. According to tweet by GreenPois0n developer P0sixninja, the new jailbreak tool will be able to hacktivate the iPhone.

This is particularly interesting to those of you who don't have an official SIM card to activate the iPhone, which is a necessary step in being able to use the iPhone...

GreenPois0n Jailbreak Released in Days?

That's an interesting tweet that pod2g, the hacker would found out the SHAtter exploit, sent out a couple hours ago in reply to someone asking when we should expect to see GreenPois0n released. According to him, the long awaited GreenPois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 will be released in days.

A few days ago the Dev Team demoed a perfectly working PwnageTool jailbreak that took advantage of the SHAtter exploit and successfully jailbroke an iPod 4G. There is every reason to believe that the Chronic Dev Team is near completion here...

Dev Team Shows Off SHAtter Exploit [GreenPois0n iPhone Jailbreak on Its Way]

Folks, we just got one step closer to an official release of the iOS 4.1 jailbreak promised by the Chronic Dev Team thanks to the SHAtter exploit discovered by pod2g.

In a video posted on their blog today, the Dev Team showed off an iPod Touch 4G jailbroken with PwnageTool. The Dev Team was able to use the SHAtter exploit to install a custom firmware on the iPod Touch 4G, and was successful in getting the basics covered, such as Cydia, customized preferences, root access, etc...

pod2g Leaves the Chronic Dev Team. Is Greenpois0n Endangered?

pod2g, the guy who discovered the SHAtter exploit that will hopefully allow the GreenPois0n jailbreak to come to life, just announced he is leaving the Chronic Dev Team.

In a series of tweets, pod2g explained that he's not working with the Chronic Dev Team anymore and that he will now be working independently. The question that comes to mind when reading this is: will the developement of GreenPois0n be affected?

Update on the GreenPois0n Jailbreak for iPhone

It seems GreenPois0n is going to be the next jailbreak for iOS 4.1 thanks to a new bootrom exploit that will supposedly work for the iPhone 4, the iPad, as well as the new iPod Touch.

Because everyone wants to know what's going on, the Chronic Dev Team gave a "no-update update" on their blog about the future potential GreenPois0n jailbreak, saying things were going swimmingly, to paraphrase them.

I guess the team has been receiving many emails and tweets from people eagerly waiting for a jailbreak for iOS 4.1. Here is the full update given by the Chronic Dev Team:

GreenPois0n Jailbreak Gets Its Own Website

Last week we reported that GreenPois0n might become the next iOS 4.1 jailbreak, and it turns out it now has its own dedicated website over at www.GreenPois0n.com. A quick look at the whois information for this domain name shows that it was created on September 11, 2009 by an anonymous registrant.

Redmond Pie believes it's a sign that GreenPois0n is close to completion and that it might indeed be the next jailbreak for iOS 4.1. While that makes sense, I still have doubts for the simple reason that a website is no sign of a future release. We saw that with LimeRa1n before...

GreenPois0n to Initiate Shiny Jailbreaking Era

The “Fun Day” is arriving as Chronic Dev Team is working hard to release their first ever all iDevices jailbreak tool named GreenPois0n. It took them a while to release the Greenpois0n jailbreak as it was announced earlier this year but they were never able to push it out as promised.

Chronic Dev Team and their Greenpois0n were even blamed to be fake as they accepted donations but never made a release. Some days ago, they made a strike by revealing a new bootrom exploit named SHAtter Exploit. This achievement means that iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G, and iPad are jailbroken for life until Apple introduces hardware change in the devices by replacing the bootrom.
