Ladies and gentlemen, it took a while, but Pangu for Mac is now available. This means that even if you only own a Mac, you can now jailbreak iOS 9.0, iOS 9.0.1, or iOS 9.0.2.

Pangu for Mac is now available via our downloads page. Once you download it, you can use our jailbreak tutorial in order to jailbreak your device.

Now that a Mac version of Pangu is online, are you planning on jailbreaking your iPhone or iPad? Sound off in the comment section below.

  • Got damn I already went through the hassle of vm’s and whatnots. Oh well. 9.02 still signed? Impactor back online?

Pangu has no chill. Does this work with 9.1? Or nah?

    • TotallySerious

The picture says from iOS 9.0 to 9.0.2

      • Tarek Al Shawi

        IS 9.0.2 STILL SIGNED?

      • Bradley Hines

        As of today , yes.

      • TotallySerious

Yes, if you’re going to jailbreak better do it now. 9.1 might not be jailbroken for a while

  • czarczarczar

Wow I just downloaded the file and only took 45 seconds ! Instead of 1 hour like the Windows version

    • Micrones

Either your PC is messed up or you didn’t follow the instructions or rather have a slow connection.
Downloading and jailbreaking my 6S+ on my surface pro 3 took me 20 mins tops…..

      • czarczarczar

I have a Mac , Windows file has always taken forever to download

      • Micrones

I have a PC and MAC, I cant speak for how long it takes on a MAC as i do not JB on my MAC but it took me 20 mins on my PC…..

for reall last night i download parallels on my mac got everything ready to go . Went to the pangu site hit download estimate time 3hr nd 45mins i was like WTF. so i just gave up and went to bed . Woke up this morning to give it another go but i noticed pangu came out with a Mac version downloaded that and it only took 5 min tops to download tool and go through the jailbreak processes. But MAC VERSION DOWNLOAD ESTIMATE TIME WAS 25 secs. Jailbroke my phone again before going to work. I was one of the users that got effected when pangu updated theyre tool to 1.2

      • czarczarczar

Sounds exactly like my morning lol . Im gonna purchase parallels though for future jailbreaks since they are always Windows versions first .

      • NeftyCorrea

yea I purchased it just for the reason jailbreak always comes out frist on windows

      • samyg

You guys can do it with VMWare or virtualbox for free, no point buying parallels if the only use you have for it is to jailbreak. It isn’t exactly cheap.

  • Tarek Al Shawi

  • jgr627

  • Zach

I did this as well, but I’m glad because you can bet future jailbreaks will be windows-only releases at first as well

  • Gabriel Diaz

So is it official that there won’t be a 9.1 JB anytime soon?

    • Gregg

Yes, it’s official. I asked the official, so it’s official.

  • James G

Waiting on 9.1 JB. Too many bugs in 9.0.2

  • Jaime Micha

Is it possible to Jailbreak the iPad Mini ´1´??

    • Gregg

Yes, but you must be on 9.1. Update and then jailbreak.

  • rockdude094

still not updating.. I heard iOS 9 is slow and has a lot of problems

    • czarczarczar

Not true at all . It’s faster and better than iOS 8

  • KraKsX

Anyone have a mirror? Download is taking FOREVER!

    • KraKsX

And before i hear its my connection, I downloaded iPad3,4_9.0.2_13A452_Restore.ispw (almost 2gigs) in under 5 minutes.

    • KraKsX

Once it downloaded, everything went smooth for me.

  • NeftyCorrea

has anyone jailbroken there phone with the Mac version? if so let me know asap because i jailbroke my phone this morning and cydia is telling me to update taig 8.1.3 -8.x So im confused . why its asking me that if i used pangu jailbreak tool for 9.0.2

  • AbareSaru

Failed for me.. got to the “please open pangu app” point but the app just crashed and then got stuck in a graphical glitch with the mac app telling me to open the pangu app (which instantly crashes to springboard) and the message telling me the % of backup it had done.. my phone then tells me restore has failed and wants me to restart

  • Sr

Please don’t update. iOS 9.02 is the worst update since the release of iOS. This release is full with errors. System is very slow. New functions are not working properly. I seriously consider to move to android. iOS 8 was working perfectly on my iPhone 6 Plus. But now the apple experience is gone and i use my phone with reluctance. Is it actually legal to deny the right to downgrade? I think this Is illegal.
