apple live

Apple updated its website this morning to announce that it will be providing a live video stream of its upcoming March 9th event. On a new Live page at, the company has posted the ‘Spring Forward’ image it’s been sending out to media outlets, inviting users to join it at 10 am PDT that day for a “special event.”

We are expecting Apple to use the stage time to reveal further details about its Apple Watch, which is slated to start shipping April. Despite a huge unveiling last fall, the company has been relatively mum about upper tier pricing, battery life, and various other aspects of the device, indicating it has a lot more to talk about.

The website says that the event will be streamed live to, but you will also be able to watch it on your iOS devices and Apple TV. Apple notes that you must be running Safari 5.1.10 or later, or Safari on iOS 6.0 or later to watch the live stream, or you must have a 2nd or 3rd generation set-top box with recent software.

Guess who’s missing class on March 9th?

    • Jonathan

      Me, apparently.

    • Mike Colacone Saal

Out of class at 1230 requesting to not work until 5 that day. I work at best buy, this is information I need for work :p

      • CS

I’m sorry to hear you work there. But I am glad you are at least trying to keep up with Apple tech. I had a best buy kid try to tell me that Apple has a built in SD card reader lol

This is odd…. watch note to showcase the Apple Watch again when it’s suppose to come out in April? Probably a new MBA. I hope a new ATV with an app store.

    • Merman123

Well, a lot of details were left out on the original unveiling. So another showcase makes sense. Most likely will break down prices, release more specs (battery life etc), and announce specific pre order/release dates. But you’re right, there is always a possibility of a product refresh.

    Keep those Mandarin guys AWAY!!
Btw, it should be Source not “eource”.

A small question: doesn’t apple always stream it’s events live?

    • Merman123

As of late, yes. In the past, it was more of a “cross your fingers” kind of thing for non-iPhone events.

Time to brush up on my Chinese.

    “We’re doing it live!”

  • This is where they show off the killer apps; like one swipe checkout payments; or Siri; turn on the lights. Then everyone will realize they need one.

    • George

Before cell phones people didn’t all go out and buy watches to tell the time, those features are not what someone “needs”

  • Liam Whiteley

    O ye 😉

  • Rowan09

But will it actually stream this time is the real question.

    • iBanks

It streamed last time. Just had many hiccups.

    • I’d brush up on your Chinese, if I were you. Just in case 😛

  • Chindavon

Nobody better talk to me while this is going on.

  • john diaz

Hope they don’t mess up this time.

  • Live streaming will only be compatible with Apple devices…at least that’s how it has been for the past few years now.

  • Ángel Javier Esquivel

Got my very own wallpaper 🙂

Reply if you want it 🙂

  • Chindavon

If the live stream from last year couldn’t keep up with only Apple devices streaming them, could you imagine how it would go if you can stream it from all sources?

  • InfinitePlusOne

6pm bigger screen iPhone to watch one 🙂
