NoDelay64 Featured

NoDelay64 is a recently released jailbreak tweak for iPhone 5s owners. It’s a tweak that removes the delay from the appearance of the “slide to unlock” on Touch ID enabled devices.

Apple adds a delay to the famous “slide to unlock” text, because it assumes that most iPhone 5s users with Touch ID enabled will be using Touch ID instead. This new tweak gets rid of that delay with a simple Cydia install. Have a look past the jump to see how it works on video.

After NoDelay64 is installed, you should immediately notice the slide to unlock text appear on your iPhone 5s’ Lock screen. There are no options or settings to configure, just install it and go.

NoDelay64 02

Some may be wondering why the developer decided to name the tweak NoDelay64. My best guess is that the 64 stands for the fact that the iPhone 5s is a 64-bit device, and nothing more. Although the iPad mini with Retina display and iPad Air are both 64-bit devices as well, neither of those devices sport the Touch ID sensor that the iPhone 5s does.

You can find NoDelay64 for free on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Let me know what you think about this tweak in the comments that lie beneath.

What about one that simply removes the text? I kind of like the 5S lockscreen with no “slide to unlock”.

search for “slide to unlock”, remove the text and respring. Make a backup of the file in case you mess up

      • Thats for english language ,tried mine and its working

Personally I wouldn’t want to go through all that trouble of deleting it manually. When all you have to do is download customLS, which is free, and you can remove it in the settings app!

For those who don’t know, the reason this tweak was made was so it would work with this cool lockscreen tweak that replaces the lockscreen text with TouchID icon and it looks sweet on the 5S. This has been all over the jailbreak subreddit all week. It makes the logo appear right away instead of waiting for it to appear and not be able to show it off.

My other comment is waiting for approval since I had a link. It’s called BioCentered. Go to reddit and search for this thread: My Lockscreen w/ Pulsating TouchID Fingerprint (RED)

Am I the only one who thinks this is useless?

It’s meant to be used with this tweak that shows a TouchID icon instead of the slide to unlock like on the screenshot. It’s more for a showing off purpose but it’s neat to have

It was created to work with a theme that replaces the Slide to Unlock text with a fingerprint glyph. Without it, you’d see the glyph after the delay and only for a second before the screen would turn off.
