Add album art to your iPhone’s wallpaper with ‘HomeArtwork’

HomeArtwork

HomeArtwork is a newly released jailbreak tweak, which takes the “now playing” album artwork and uses it as wallpaper for the Home screen background. The tweak works with the stock Music app, but I’m also happy to report that it plays nice with streaming services like Spotify. HomeArtwork is a great tweak that allows you to constantly switch up the look of your Home screen wallpaper. Check out our video coverage inside…

Once installed, simply begin playing a song using your favorite music service. You’ll immediately notice that the wallpaper background on your Home screen has changed to reflect the album art of the currently playing song.

The thing that I really appreciate about this tweak, is that the album artwork is blown up to cover the iPhone’s entire screen. It’s a much better approach than simply placing full cover art on the screen without filling it up.

There are no settings or options to configure for HomeArtwork, just install and go. Once you stop or pause the music, your wallpaper will change back to its default wallpaper. If you’d like to try HomeArtwork, then head over to Cydia’s BigBoss repo where it can be purchased for $0.99. Let me know what you think about it in the comment section below.

I’m hoping this gets animations like “FullScreen Album Art” and then I’ll be sold.

Is it only me, or every time the phone is locked and then unlocked the artwork is gone and only pause/play or next/previous track actions would show it again?

I wish it set the lockscreen background to use album art as well, and hid the default album art from displaying…
