I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been fond of the singular pop-up alerts that show up on the Lock screen when you receive a notification. It’s singular, weird, and way too imposing for my tastes.

The thing is, once you receive a second notification, the view switches to a more attractive flat list view. I much prefer this multiple notification view over the solo view. Considering this, I was intrigued when I saw a new tweak — LSFlatAlerts — make its way to the Cydia store. It’s a jailbreak tweak that makes all notifications, even single ones, appear in the more attractive flat list view.

Now compare the above LSFlatAlert to the stock singular Lock screen alerts on iOS:

Regular alert

Big difference, no? In my opinion, I think that LSFlatAlerts look much better, and it’s how iOS should have operated out of the box.

There are no settings of options to configure for LSFlatAlerts, just install the tweak and be on your way. If you want to try it out for yourself, then head over to Cydia’s ModMyi repo where it can be downloaded free of charge. What do you think about LSFlatAlerts?

oh my, charge your phone! also… this looks awesome, snagging it now

    • RarestName

      Jeff, charging his phone? Impossible!

  • its based on personal peference, i guess if you install this tweak the only advantage it that you can see the timestamp of the notification.

    • Agreed, I have no issues against the traditional single banner myself. Still, good thing someone actually came up with this solution to please the remainder of the mass.

Wow I was googling this yesterday for nicer MusicBanners notifications on the LS!! Hope it will play nice with MusicBanners!

  • is there a tweak that will join same app notifications together? For example, if my friend “Matt” texts me 5 times, they show up as 5 separated notifications. I’d like them to all be joined together like 1 aggregated one until i clear it away.

If you set “Show Preview” to off in Setting>Notications>Messages it will collapse messages like you want.

Notifications get collapsed if they are the same by default. I’m not sure about collapsing all notifications for each app though.

      • Bulletin can collapse all notifications by a tap and show them again. Paid tweak, but it brings many features with it!

LockInfo 3 did exactly this and I wish it still did.

Been using it for quite long now.

Anyone know of a tweak that makes the notifications on the lock screen go to the very top of the screen? I use ‘clock hide’ to get rid of the lock screen clock, but notifications still seem to think the clock is there.

I believe the theme ‘ClearHighNotifications’ does what you’re looking for :p

      • Yep! That works, but only in normal mode. When cover art is shown (music playing) it’ll jump back down. I emailed the dev, but he never answered me about that.

  • Great twek .. I was looking for it .. Many thanks.

    Drainage of battery?

  • I really like this tweak I found that default big alert so annoying I had set most of my notifications not to show on the lockscreen. I wish there was tweak to keep my notification on the lock screen in list view until I address them instead of disappearing when I unlock my phone.

I think that’s probably going to be something like LockInfo, which I really enjoy using. But now this + jelly lock might be the new thing for me. If I miss a notification, I now use the notification center to handle that.

I just need a good weather list at the top now like LockInfo has.

      Abstergo is the tweak

I loved this tweak but it stopped my Pebble from getting alerts so I had to remove it.

  • Lol, another sub-part of LockInfo 5
