Auxo 1.4 toggles updated

One of my favorite jailbreak tweaks of all time, Auxo, has been updated to version 1.4. This release, as we highlighted in our preview of the update, brings bug fixes, new toggles, and additional settings to the table.

The biggest feature in my opinion, is the adjustment that has been made with the tap zones on the brightness and music control sliders. in the past, those slider knobs have been really difficult to key in on with your finger, but after the 1.4 update, this is no longer an issue.

The other big feature is the addition of new toggles. These toggles include Do Not Disturb, Auto Lock, and a direct shortcut to the stock Settings app. The flashlight toggle and the power toggle also feature new auxiliary features, which are configurable in Auxo’s preferences.

For those of you that have already purchased Auxo, this update is a free download on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. If you’ve yet to purchase Auxo, it’s available for $1.99 on Cydia.

  • What about the stinky memory leak or the previous version ?

    • this has been resolved in their beta version before this

    • Still crashing while listening music. And lags using zephyr on iPhone 4.

  • No iPad support yet? :

    • Eldaria

That sucks, I bought it for my iPad, but have still not been able to use it.

      • Same here, i tweeted to devs asking a early ipad beta and get this repply: “sorry, not yet”

  • I tried this tweak since its original release and I can’t still get used to the card style. I find the screenshot of each App in the background distracting enough that it takes me more time to find what’s the actual App I am looking for. I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew it would be so distracting for me.
I’m sure it works for many others, but for me, no thanks. I’m sticking to the small App icons instead, the right way Apple did it. 🙂

Word, this tweak rlly serves me no real purpose other than to merely change the look of the switcher.

      • Well, it does offer a few additional functionalities and enhancements, but I’d rather just use SwipeAway and Zephyr -although this latter is irrelevant to this comparison- which is the most approximate thing to MultiCleaner which is obviously out of business in iOS 6. If SwipeAway goes out of business in iOS 7, well… I’ll tell you when we get there. 😉

To the Auxo designers and developers:
How about instead of adding a screenshot of the last App state, maybe add a shadowed or the App Icon behind the App? I mean, again, I find it POINTLESS to have a snapshot sitting in the background of my App icon. I agree it looks good, which is why I bought it initially, but it truly doesn’t make the app-switching business faster, not to me at least.

My flashlight toggle still crashes my iphone4

    • Mut

I haven’t had this problem on mine but the music crash is fixed 😀

  • Not out for me yet

Never mind. Had to remove the beta repo.

Auxo was cool for a bit. But the cards weren’t as easily or quickly identifiable as just the icon. So I’m back to Switchy with SwipeAway. SBSettings handles my toggles and SpringFlash is a much better flashlight in my opinion (activator or sbsettings controlled)

  • actually does it work with lockinfo?

  • Damian W

Zephyr and auxo together seem to work better now.

  • Whenever I double tap the home button while listening to music, I get Safe Mode. Did they fix this?

  • My music app always lag with this tweak and it also crashes :/, i wasted 2 dollars with this tweak:(

    • u should have get cracked one,, y to spend money for crashing app

  • QuantumPhysics

The problem with Auxo’s thumbnail previews are that they’re redundant. iOS is only capable of running one instance of an application at a time, so there’s no reason to have a thumbnail preview because there’s nothing it’s differentiating itself from. By reducing the size of the icons in compensation for the thumbnail previews, it in fact makes it more difficult for people to tell what applications are running at first glance.

The thumbnail previews work great in Safari, not only because they’re larger, but because we’re able to have multiple tabs open of the same website. As a result, the thumbnail previews allow us to clearly differentiate between these tabs, and are far more effective than a website’s logo would be. Same goes for the thumbnail previews in OS X’s mission control and dock.

Apple, in this case, was right to use icons to represent a running application in the app switcher. Unless Apple allows us to have multiple “windows” (instances) of the same application running on iOS (like OS X), don’t expect to see something like Auxo integrated into iOS anytime soon.

    • I agree completely. You would think iDB developed this lame tweak or something by how much they talk about it… It isn’t some awesome, groundbreaking tweak. It is redundant and makes it harder to quickly switch apps. I really believe the devs wouldn’t even have the support to update the damn tweak if iDB would stop talking about it for a week. ActiveDock actually is useful and get compliments on it all the time. That is a tweak worth talking about!

    • Pretty much what I say in my post about why I uninstalled Auxo 🙂

  • This came out two days ago lol.

  • A post, ANOTHER post, only for an updated cydia App?? This is Hilarious, funny and for most of us USELESS!

    • seyss

      not “most of us”
a lot of ppl like this tweak and they follow its updates
      not me tho

  • When sliding the icons at the very bottom quickly in switcher bar Auxo (1.4.x-x) always gives me a respring lol. Unfortunately, I uninstalled it again last night…

  • Keeps crashing when listening to spotify. I uninstalled it.

  • Meanwhile in ipad zone: zzzzzZZZZZ…
