Silicon Valley pizza Jony Ive

This photo is gold. Twelve of the most important people in Silicon Valley gathered for a dinner tonight, hosted by Nextdoor CEO and longtime Silicon Valley entrepreneur Nirav Tolia.

In attendance was Apple’s design guru Jonathan Ive alongside a few other Silicon Valley celebrities.

Most notably, these include Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, Google X director Mike Cassidy, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo and CEOs of Yelp, Dropbox (“you’re just a feature”) and Path. Ive is just behind Yahoo’s Marissa on the right.

Such a rare photo-op, and with an informal Jony Ive as a bonus? Priceless. At any rate, it’s nice to see the world’s most acclaimed industrial designer hanging out with Silicon Valley’s most influential entrepreneurs, even if he doesn’t look like he’s having much fun. Perhaps you could write your own caption?

Google X director Mike Cassidy shared the image via his Facebook account and Business Insider re-posted it. As the publication notes, the interconnections between these people are staggering.

From Steve Jobs trying to acquire Dropbox CEO Drew Houston’s cloud-storage startup to Yahoo’s Marissa Mayer who invested in Twitter chairman Jack Dorsey’s payments startup Square and also tried to buy Yelp when she worked at Google.

As for Apple SVP Jony Ive:

After executive Scott Forstall’s departure, Ive gained oversight over Apple’s software design as well as its hardware products. As such, he’s a critical contact for pretty much everyone in the room.

Your list of everyone at the dinner: Drew Houston, CEO, Dropbox; Trevor Traina, Traina Interactive; Dave Morin, CEO, Path; Dick Costolo, CEO, Twitter; Dion Lim, education startup CEO; Nirav Tolia, CEO, Nextdoor; Jeremy Stoppelman, CEO, Yelp; Michael Birch, cofounder, Bebo; Mike Cassidy, director, Google X; Jony Ive, SVP, Apple; Marissa Mayer, CEO, Yahoo; Bret Taylor, CEO, Quip.
