Doodle Jump Leaps Onto the iPad

Lima Sky, the team behind the award winning and hugely popular iPhone game Doodle Jump, has released an iPad version of the platformer. Sporting newly rendered full-screen graphics and other iPad-only features, Doodle Jump for iPad is almostĀ guaranteedĀ to be as well received as its older brother.

Priced at $2.99 and available to download now, Doodle Jump for iPad promises to bring the bouncing madness to the big screen…

Along with the increased screen real estate, the iPad release of Doodle Jump also brings with it someĀ exclusiveĀ features. A new multiplayer racetrack theme and Open Feint support are two features not currently present in the iPhone release, though we suspect the smaller screen version will see at least the Open Feint addition at some point.

“Used as a fashion statement by a Lady Gaga dancer, spoofed by Jimmy Fallon on Late Night, mentioned on The Big Bang Theory, and obsessively played by celebrities, Doodle Jump is a pop-culture phenomena; an iPhone sensation that has captivated millions of players around the world and was called “possibly THE BEST IPHONE GAME EVER created” by a leading iPhone gaming blog Touch Arcade.”

The question isn’t so much one of whether Doodle Jump will top the iPad charts, but more how quickly will it do it? The original iPhone version has sold over 10 million copies to date, and is still selling well at the bargain price of $0.99.

If you’re a Doodle Jumper and have a spare $3, you owe it to yourself to pick up Doodle Jump for iPad!
