    I’m confused as to why this article says unlockers stay away? I thought sn0wbreeze preserves baseband.

      You will have problems on firmware 4.3.1 even with the unlockable basebands…ultrasnow needs to be fixed to work right on 4.3.1

    So here is a question, I’m currently running ios 4.1 BB 2.10 on my jailbroken iphone4. I don’t rely on on an unlock, but I will want to unlock my phone eventually when I go to sell it for the iphone 5. If I update to 4.3.1 jailbroken, will it also update my baseband? Is this advisable, or should I just chill on my 4.1 for a while?, If it does update it, I just assume it takes longer to wait for an unlock as the BB gets higher? Thanks!

      If you upgrade to 4.3.1 with Snowbreeze it will not change your baseband. The current Ultrsnow is not compatible with 4.3.1 but they are working on it and it should be out soon. To answer your question, your baseband is safe…:)

      Funny you said that, had no problem with mine. Of course some Cydia programs are not working on 4.3.1 yet, but most still works. I enjoyed the multi gestures support, would work better on the iPad because it has a bigger screen.

    I successfully Jailbroke and kept my baseband from updating but I’m stuck in Safe Mode. At the top in status bar it reads “it Safe Mode.”just like that. I did several restarts removed packages not compatible w/ ios 4.3.1 too. Can someone help?

    Hey stuck. I have the same problem too. At my status bar, it states ‘it Safe Mode’. Plus, I’ve installed winterboard and whenever I respring to ‘activate’ the theme, it does not come out. Is there any co-relationship between the two problems? How can I solve them?

    Do we know if the signal strength indicator (mine hasn’t moved from one bar of service) is just aesthetic, or am I actually getting less signal?
