iPhone 4 Jailbreak and Unlock Won’t Be Released Today

Despite the high expectation that the iPhone 4 jailbreak and unlock might be released today, MuscleNerd confirmed that it will not. Apparently there are issues with important jailbreak apps such as FaceTime that need to be taken care of before the release. Like MuscleNerd says, there is no point releasing a jailbreak and unlock if it’s not stable.

The Dev Team said last week they will release both the jailbreak and unlock for iOS 4 at the same time, so even though ultrasn0w is ready for release, the Team now has to make sure the jailbreak is bug free before making it available to the public.

    It ain’t ready I like many others appreciate all the hard work the dev team are putting in to this and the last thing the dev team want is to damage iPhones so take your time one month two months it don’t matter as long as you get it the way you want it to be :-)

    If the jailbreak would allow download of cracked apps and FaceTime wouldn’t work I would use it until the final version came out :) it will come though doing a great job dev team!:)

    Ditto to that NaThom seriously I been using iPhones from day dot n had everyone jailbroke know a little bit bout the workings of them but still wouldn’t know how to create a jailbreak n that’s where (Superman) comes in the dev team giving us mere mortals what apple should b giving us for zero although we own an iPhone it has got a ball and chain attached to it n the devteam release this ball and chain for us so always remember if it wasn’t for devteam I don’t think I would love and admire the iPhone as much as I do 1 prepared to wait till as long as it takes iPhone 4 owner

    hey dev team i understand you are busy fixing bugs on jailbreak but i would request you to first release a activation unlock software which at least unlocks the usage of iphone 4 to any carrier worldwide and later on take how much time you want on making a final jailbreak version.

    Can’t wait guys! Longest I’ve been without a jailbreak but I’d rather wait another two months for a stable power-managed jailbreak than some rushed version. I can’t wait to see what developers come up with in light of the new features. :)
